F1 1991 Season

This season will kick off May 1st

Next Tuesday the 24th will be a test and tune night multiple tracks and people

Server is up the Primary Server it has Brazil, Pacific GP, MagnyCours, Hungary, Portugal & Australia Adelaide and BATHURST For a bit of fun

I really hope there will be a good turnout for this one. It deserves it, these cars are incredible.

Awesome will be on tonight after ETCC for a few races. Benny is it set up with short 7-10 min practice and qualy and like 1 minute warmup, to encourage races?

I had a quick practice this morning on Bathurst To see what it would actually be like. I have only done about two laps in these cars and as you know I don't play any open wheeler mods so I was expecting some carnage. But to my surprise it was pretty easy and good fun specially going my first sub 1m50 around the track.

I think on Tuesday test and tune we will have to have a race here

Remember when Voting Other than Bathurst On Server One Shano Picked Tracks he Believed would keep racers pretty close not just tracks he would like to have a ago at which Is what I did with Server 2. So after Practice if you change your mind on your vote the vote is enabled for people to cancel and redo your choices

I put it on server 1 but I just assumed it was already uploaded to the server give me 5 I'll have a look for you guys

OK just uploading Bathurst it will be 2006 version and will change server to 30mins when it turns off you'll know it is done will be back 2 mins after

I have only tested at Adelaide and Brazil, this interlagos version you have up is faaannntastic, Love it. Adelaide I have really struggled with and find it quite hard...
might jump on for a bit and see who is on.. anyone using HPattern box ? did some testing this arvo with all aids off and manual LOL was a blast...

yeah after sum testing last nite there was a few things thrown around as to run these on a all ausssie base tracks... since evry1 knows them pretty good and would provide much closer racing as did bathurst last nite... which i will admit was a blast around there...

And so was symmonds plains afterwards mate!

Hmmm not sure if i'm keen for a all Aussie track championship... Me n Webber had a practice on Interlagos and we had a great battle with two different car setups...

I don't mind a couple of Aussie tracks but we never run alot of those F1 spec tracks... Just my opinion guys.

yeah think we keep it as the vote went grp c... as you said those other tracks do provide top racing... and there still 2 top aus tracks in the mix

Dan try changing your rfactorconfig.exe to direct x 9 firstly

Then if that doesn't work take the track detail up higher level

Sorry Dan working tonight normally mas errors I have found are direct x or the track detail level. Is it a separate install or in with other mods

menthol, are you using a new fresh install of rFactor?

I get MAS errors, and that is usually because of rFactor getting confused with another adelaide track, or the MAS file wasn't included in the download.

Try a fresh install of rFactor, installing the mod, installing the track, joining server!

yeh i use same rfactor for all, so ill try a new install.

Having second thoughts about running in this series.

Looks like a great comp but maybe I'm a little out of my depth I think.
Was waay off the pace after 70 (20 complete lol) or so laps at Adelaide and Melbourne.

Think ill just concentrate on TCLV8 Supp. and the upcoming State of Mind (PCC07 its looking like) series.

shayn, these cars you need to not attack like you always seem to do.

Pcc07 is great mod I'm going to try make a few rounds of that one

F1 just run at the back with me Shayn or we can see if there is a safety car like HQ's we can use

yeah as dan said dont attack and drive slower..you will find it alot easier

I actually find them fairly easy to drive, they are very smooth, you just have to be careful with the throttle and how you hit the kerbs on adelaide.

Yeh shayn, don't try and run times like Webb and co. I'm not and I'll never be able to.

I found if I slowed it all down, and took it apart, piece by piece it helped get consistent laps in.. eg - brake and down through the gears, once you've done that turn in, then once youre through the corner, concentrate on applying the throttle without wheelspin.

I creep up on every corner but i get my downshifts all done before i even think to turn in, where in TCL for e.g. i sometimes might still be changin down or up mid corner. Just drive em slowly to start with and build your pace from there mate.

Mozza showed me around Hungaroring and i went from 8 seconds slower than him, to 4.8 seconds behind him.

Success. Small success. Still. All might not be lost lol.

Few good races last night, at a couple of tracks. I think we are on the right track with the traditional F1 tracks, not the Aussie tracks.

I dont expect to be so far up once people get serious though, so I'm just gonna bask in the couple of wins I had last night lol.

Shayn, you're getting there, keep punching away. Once you learn HOW to drive them on one track, you'll be able to concentrate on the actual driving of the track at any other circuit, rather than having to split your concentration between the car on the track and driving the car.... If you know what I mean.

man i couldnt drive 1 in a str8 line last nite... i think highlight was joinin easternats at hungary in pit lane in the race and smokin em up lol.....

I think the fact that I don't know the tracks that well isn't helping either.
That and its like learning to drive all over again.

So yeah driving a fast car into a corner i don't know is coming, might be a bit tricky for a while. I've driven these cars before lol, I just didn't know you guys were so damn quick in them.

Just gonna take some time. 200 laps should be enough lol.
