All the remaining tracks have been loaded to the server by Corty, if Zolder isn't the track that is on, just cycle through the tracks until you get to it.

Sorry I missed this one, but i made a last minute decision to fly to Melbourne for the Sandown Historic meeting. Good weekend, despite the weather.

Re: Round 12 - Zolder
Good fun night, really enjoyed this track!!
Had two chops at qualifying, 46.0 first run and a 45.4 second run which was good enough for P2. GroupC pulled out a stunning 44 second lap, so I was pretty happy to be on the front row.
Race 1, made probably my best start of the season and was up with GroupC, then Racer tapped me coming into the chicane and I detoured through the gravel - (I was a bit conservative under braking there so it's cool Racer!). I lost a few spots, dropped back to 5th, then got the head down and chased Shifu and AusChris pretty hard. I managed to get by both and ended up in P3 at the end. It was a terrific battle!
Race 2, I made another good start which is pretty rare for me in the Volvo, chased Corty and GroupC early, then AusChris dived underneath me and we battled for a bit. I think my setup was a bit friendlier than Chris', so he let me by again after I was monstering him for a few laps. Corty then started to come back to me before my pit stop, I got by him on a corner exit somewhere while he was battling lack of rubber issues.
I then had a total rubbish in-lap and an awful outlap (I bumped my G25 shifter and engaged neutral when I shouldn't have when I was fumbling for a menu button, bounced off the armco, sorted it out then after Corty had pitted I found myself about 13 seconds behind him... Grrrr.
I then drove my backside off for the remainder of the race and hauled Corty in again finishing 0.2 behind in 3rd. I was pretty happy with the balance throughout, just got to work on the 32 second gap to GroupC who drove a superb couple of races last night.
Unfortunately I won't be at Jarama this weekend, I'm on the spanners at Sandown for the Shannons Nationals Round.

Re: Round 12 - Zolder
well after doing nearly 100 laps of practice before hand, the quickest lap that i managed was a 1:48.082, which i was happy with as i knew i wasnt going to get much more out of it. then my only quick time in qualy was a 1:47.6! but i beat myself up about the fact the first sector was a full second off my PB. however, this was good enough for 9th, which, amongst that field i was more then happy with! (first top 10 quali spot too) we seem to say this alot, but congrats to GCA, bloody stirling effort on a 44 mate, cant discount a good steer and you have been on fire lately!!
got off to a great start. but i didnt want to hold up dean as i knew he would be quicker then me so let him through into the first and off we went. right in the pack going into the chicane before i knew it i spun 360 and back to racing. must have been an oil spot or something. soldiered on but wasnt able to improve on 11th.
race 2 and i got another great start, so great in fact that i made it up to 7th spot! (obviously due to others misfortunes but i dont care, i was 7th!!! hahaha) spot after spot and i was pushed back by the quicker drivers to 11th as i made a setup change which back fired quite bad and under braking had no rear grip whatsoever. my tyres died early and had to make the decision to early stop it, stopping on lap 10 i went back to last and came out right in front of GCA, held him off for a couple of laps (before he caught me) and then going into the last chicane onto the main straight i out braked myself and deliberately put it in the sand cos i knew i was never gunna make the turn. i put my head down and kept going, lap after lap stringing them together before i passed grunter by quite abit when he pitted (he was right on my ass beforehand) so i was pretty happy with my strategy. As the end of the race neared though, i could see Growler catching me, and by the end of the race i had no tyres left and he was catching me FAST! he caught me on the very last turn and i was able to hold him off to the line for 7th. (best ever finish)
still, great racing by all especially GCA. Look forward to next week!

Good work Ryan, as long as you beat Growler, that's the most important thing.

hahaha love your work growler! i was just happy to be up there in a position to have to hold you off as opposed to watching you guys drive away at 1+ sec a lap! haha

Re: Round 12 - Zolder
Had some good pace around here but the first laps of both races put me too far back. I was a lot slower through the chicanes than a lot of the other cars so once I got past, I would have to go on the defensive which hurt my lap times.

some cracker racing with you dv8, loved every minute of it and your a bloody hard guy to get past, the merc definately had an advantage over my volvo and eventually fought too hard for my tyres to cope with.

Re: Round 12 - Zolder
I liked this track when raced here in the WTCC series.
I had zero preparation and zero practice. I still managed a ok time on my first lap in the rover in qualifying.
I just set myself to race a clean race and have fun. Race one was ok and i had fun Race two i had a good enough start that was helped by a pile up at the first chicane. A brain fade moment came late in the race when i tried to have a sip of a drink i had prepared thus loosing control under brakes. That put me in the wall and spun me. I tried again a lap later thinking things will be better this time around...wrong. i barely avoided a mirror image crash. As it turned out all was for nothing as my internet dropped out in the dying laps.
Still got to eat my dinner warm so not a total lose.
