I suggest some testing before the races as it will be set up to be aggressive on Fuel and tyres
Just so we can get some strategy into play

Re: BATHURST LEGENDS 1972 Mini Series.
I think this will be the chargers best shot at a Championship, I dont think ive seen one win one yet ?
The Ford is the most disadvantaged as it uses the most fuel and really hard on its tyres, some will be lucky to make it to the end without pitting.
In testing I blew a tyre
The Holden has allot more speed around the corners and easiest on its tyres.
May have to watch fuel as it has a smaller tank then the other two.
The Charger is the best out of the three on fuel, so has no worries on getting to the end of the short race
The tyre wear is in between the Ford and holden.
At the end of it all I think any car could win races and the championship

Re: BATHURST LEGENDS 1972 Mini Series.
Hope that i can be competitive!! managing to only be about 1.4 seconds off Corty in both the Torana and Charger. I did 50 laps tonight in the Charger and 50 last night in the Torana. lasted about 4 laps in the Ford before i changed back to the charger.
Managing some serious consistency keeping at least 90% of the laps within a second of my quickest so im pretty happy with that!

Re: BATHURST LEGENDS 1972 Mini Series.
I think I know what I'll be doing for the next few sundays. I turned a few laps offline at waneroo last night in the ford. I tried joining the server that's up but when I get in I can't see the track and I can't go to race. I had just downloaded and installed the track so maybe I need to reinstall or something. It's fine offline.
Anyway I'll do some charger vs ford testing before sunday.

Re: BATHURST LEGENDS 1972 Mini Series.
Can't wait, I'll have to miss Round 1 this weekend unfortunately (wedding anniversary ), so count me in for Round 2!
I agree with Corty, good job Ryan! Very quick times in practice there!
It would be good if we could enforce the rule regarding keeping the same car for the whole series, sort of made the ETCC86 series a bit annoying with some of the new blokes jumping in whatever car best suited a certain track each week.
I'm thinking I might go with a Torana, I like the whole giantkiller aspect of what the XU1's were able to achieve back in the day. Certainly won't have the outright pace, but I reckon will be annoying to the bigger cars!

Re: BATHURST LEGENDS 1972 Mini Series.
thanks CD and Corty. one can only hope!
and a quick note on the car change thing, i agree it would be better to keep the one car for the series. Even though i did change my car in the ETCC86 but only because i wasnt able to try different cars beforehand and i was finding the Rover a bit hard to control with my lack of experience. hence why i have already done 100 laps of testing haha
Should be good but i want to do some more comparison between the Torana and the Charger. fords not an option haha

Welcome back. The racing usually starts around 9.30pm NZ time on a Sunday night, and finished by around 11.30pm.
Still enough time to be in bed before Midnight!

Re: BATHURST LEGENDS 1972 Mini Series.
Ive stated this in the top post:Chris Donnelly wrote:It would be good if we could enforce the rule regarding keeping the same car for the whole series, sort of made the ETCC86 series a bit annoying with some of the new blokes jumping in whatever car best suited a certain track each week.

Does everyone think this if fair ?
Also maybe an idea if everyone starts to choose a car, as would be good to have a variety and so we
dont have too many double ups of the same car / team.

We have now upgraded the server to "46 Slots" instead of the "26 slot", as there seems to be allot of practice going on
