Awesome. If you don't mind I will use this as the go-to for linking random noobs trying to use our server to the relevant trackfix etc. Rfactor gives a mismatch if the wind is blowing slightly the wrong way and this webpage is a nice one stop shop.

Hey Dave Just Downloaded and this one appears not to be the cd version. As there is no Exe so it has already been extracted which is the problem with Normally needing the GTL Disc

First of all, as I always said, sorry about my English, so I hope you guys understand it.

Well, I gotta be honest, we’re pretty jealous about your racing series guys. Although ours are pretty good, especially the Turismo Carretera series (Guinness World Records as the oldest racing series of the world!), I think no touring car series in the world, in terms of power, can match yours. I mean, common! 380 HP on an utility vehicle?? We got UTEs-like cars here in the streets of my country, but I think the most powerful engine on one of those have no more than 100 HP and 4 cylinders. Not even our number 1 racing series here have 380 HP!! And they are pure race cars!! But we love those 6 in-line.

I’m a race car fan since I can recall, and from about 7 years ago, V8 SC and UTEs fan. I love these monsters! So, going thru your country’s websites about this series, I found FVR and a lot more. In some websites, I read a lot, especially about the UTEs mod. But it never came out. So, in September 2010, I told my friend Nicolea (who was starting the modeling process of the first “Argentinean” Holden Commodore UTE), if he wants to make both models for the mod, and he said “OK, let’s do it”, so, I got in touch with FlashQld from FVR, to ask for permission (again) to use the front part of the two FVRV8 2010 models.
He, of course, had no problems, and we started working, Nico, doing his thing, and me, being a real pain in the …, bothering everybody almost every single day, asking A LOOOOOOT of questions about this UTEs, and to my surprise, nobody had problems and gave me really good feedback.
I hate to depend on others to do what we have to do, but in this case, Australia is a little to far to go to Mount Panorama’s pit lane and take our own photos and ask everyone about the behavior of the cars, because that is what we do here when we have to make a mod of one of our local series. Believe me, if I have the chance to go to Australia someday, the first thing on my list (after beer and women), is go see the V8 SC and UTEs live in Mount Panorama!

Anyway, the day has come! Our first “international” project (we hope a lot more follow this one), in a combined effort from Nicolea Designs & SAF Modding Argentina, here we present you…

The 2010 Yokohama V8 UTE Racing Series


The UTEs were painted using photos from the official website, some were provided by Ferret40, and some founded throughout the web. Material was pretty short and low quality, and many of the logos had to be done from scratch. All UTEs from the 2010 season are very much complete, except for some logos, the little ones, or the ones that couldn’t be understood. Still, every single Holden and Ford was painted the best possible way I could. If some of you want to complete the skins, please, be my guest. I’ve tried to complete them, but the photos were no good, and for us here, not knowing this series very good, or the sponsors, it’s very difficult. In a lot of cases, in the spots we can’t see due to the angle of the picture, we tried to guess, and we ended up placing a logo that not necessarily should be there. The logos we placed there were not a random choice, they were logos that belong to that particular car, so if you’re a fan of a particular driver and you know how that car looks, don’t be surprise if that UTE in the mod looks a little bit different or it has some missing logos. Nevertheless, I have done all liveries, and a lot of the UTEs have more than one, different liveries used during the year, so, you can choose your favorite.
If this were one of our series, we would go to pits in one of the races, and take some good quality pics of all cars, of every single possible angle and of all the logos and brands. So, as I said, you are very welcome to update, or complete the skins with the missing logos and brands.

This series are rare here in Argentina, and not many people know about them, mostly because of the time difference between our counties, and because most of the motorsport cable channels do not broadcast the races. Instead of that, you can see races from the boooooooooring NASCAR (sorry if I hurt someone’s feelings, but I HATE that series) or the even booooring F1. But we’re trying to change that, posting info about the races on our website, and also links to the webs that broadcasts this series, because V8 SC and the UTEs are fantastic (of course, after our number 1 series, Turismo Carretera, hahaha!).
Also, I want to apologize to the NZ guys, because I couldn’t paint all the UTE’s from the Enzed Series. The original idea was to paint ALL the cars, the Yokahama and the Enzed series, but, when I did the count, they were up to 50 something cars, just in the Yokohama Series, plus the 20 something cars racing in the Enzed Series. I was alone this time to paint all the cars and to be honest, they were too many and I really need a brake from all the painting stuff. I’ve started skinning the UTEs from New Zealand (in fact, I did 3 of them), but I have a lot of work to do, more than 140 cars to paint for the Turismo Pista series, a front wheel – touring car series here, so I don’t think I’ll be painting UTEs for a looooooooong time. Nevertheless, you will find 50 teams, 44 from the Aussie Series, 3 from the 2011 season, and 3 from the NZ series, with more than 110 different liveries.
As photo and video material was really hard to find (the good one at least), some of the UTEs are incomplete, or have different color or background, or finishing, depending on the quality of the material I have used. Nevertheless, the word "incomplete" is a way of saying it. In some UTEs, there are logos and/or brands missing, mostly the little ones, and, in some areas, you might see a logo or brand that does not belong there, but that was because I didn't have a decent photo of that area. As I said above, some are incomplete, but most of them are 100% identical to the real ones. Also, some NZ based teams are not in this mod, however, I did 3 NZ based teams, but don't worry, as soon as I get decent photo material, I will paint those too, and release them as a patch. Hopefully...

Remember also that, as we speak, the mod is being tested by three of the drivers of this series. Those are: Grant Johnson, Ben Kavich and Graham Edwards, so, as soon as they give me some feedback, it is possible that I will make a little physics patch, depending on what the drivers tell me about them.

Templates are available, although there are not the best. These are my first ever templates, and I’ve tried to put them together the best I could, so I hope you like them. If anyone wants to do better templates, please do, and please post them, so all of us can have them in order to do future skin updates.

when i came to ttr ...the thing that impressed me was how easy it was to find the downloads u needed ...all on 1 page ...just scroll down till u came to what u needed and away u go ...easy as..........i struggle with the basic things u have to do to run in the races [i know im in a small minority ]but downloading for me has just got a lot harder

Hey bob if you could explain a little which part is harder. I thought by making the list easier to read in a menu box it would be easier.

If it is the password section we had too many links that were no longer working and with megaupload being closed down more than half of our downloads were with them so not many worked. so to make it easier I put them all on our website which means the link wont disapear so long term they are always there. Problem with this is that you have a certain amount of downloads available off your website each month and at that point the website would stop until the following month. We can get more each month but it costs money.

So to make the downloads available for everyone easily and by putting a password on these files means that there available to everyone but not the general public keeping our bandwidth under control.

I'm sorry if it has made it harder or you or anyone else but I'd be happy to jump on team speak with you go through downloading something to show you how easy it can be.

I have finished uploading the tracks to our Website and have updated the links

I'll work on mod uploads next week

For the time being I have disabled password protection and will monitor bandwidth if you see password enabled in the future you can assume we have got to close to our limit

I just tried to d/l Historx v1.9, link is broken.

Hey David that one is pretty massive download. it wasn't one I was planing to upload to our server but can if needed. Can I send you a DVD with the files on it to help

DVD is looking good, tried three different sites to d/l, all take 12 hours or more! Pass.

Need to get it though, a 3D modeller has done heaps of extra car models and wants me to tune physics, so he can release them publically.
