Hi everyone, nice to be here.
I'm Frank, a soon-to-be 22yrs old italian modder with around 6 years of experience with rFactor or, as you've known me for the past couple of days, the unknown guy that is suddendly releasing original TCL cars and extra cars out of nowhere without advertising them until after they're already released.

First of all, I want to clarify that I'm in no way affiliated with TCL crew and that, although almost all models I released so far were theirs, I do not take credits for any of their work. Same for all the other cars I have in wip. I work alone on this project, so my possibilities are limited.

This project actually started a couple of weeks ago, when I made two cockpit updates for the Alfa GTV6 and Mitsubishi Starion, and at the time I didn't had plans to do anything else. But then, I found the cars, converted one for fun and thought it would be easy to do the whole package and bring them back to TCL, where they belong.
I've read about few bugs report in this thread and I will try to correct them for future versions, but I have to say that I'm not a physic or sound maker. R32 for example uses R31 physic and Volvo sounds because I don't have anything better at hand.
This evening I will release the last two cars (Renault 5 and Renault 21) and then I'll go back to the previous ones for bugfixing and improving before going forward to new cars.
I need proper sounds for the R32!

Among the future cars, the most interesting for you is the RX7 (Gr2/GrA version and possibily GrC version). Same for Bluebird GrC (I have a road model, will need someone to model it into a GrC car.
Volvo 240T (Stock TCL car) will receive a new cockpit. Same for R32.
Other cars will also receive some updates.

Now I need help from you for one thing. Is this cockpit "fake" (I mean restored) or they really had motec in '92? Cause I have to decide if put a semi-street cockpit with analog gauges from the road car or a full-race cockpit from a race version of the BNR32.

Hey Frank,

Cheers for releasing this stuff. It's cool to get some new content for TCL and I'm a huge Nissan
& R32 fan, so I'm chuffed. In regards to your question about the R32 dashboard:

This is a photo of the Nismo-built Calsonic R32. I think the Aussie cars are the same, but I'm not 100% sure and I haven't got any decent period photos of them. I'm pretty confident they don't have Motec displays like in the Speedhunters article though.

gp96, have you got all the addon packs for 92 and 93 skins? they're in the addons pack in downloads.

i can get a 2:16.6 at bathurst with the updated physics and limited setup but it doesn't like using the front tyres. going off what they actually did at bathurst with a 2:13's.

Did anyone have luck into finding the XR4 model that was meant to be included in the full package?
Chris mentioned a BTCC86 folder, but it's nowhere to be found.. Maybe some of you have it in your hdds.

found a xr4ti in rallyworld mod. thing is i dont think many people would use the xr4ti if theres an rs cosworth or rs500 already in the mod.

This is very exciting stuff.

Is there a place to get all these new downloads?

Also with these new add-ons being created, we must remember that when doing the files etc.. to ensure they don't clash with any of the files already in game.

The real things were very hard on tyres. I' remember TCL Sierra's doing 2m13s when TTR had our Bathursts a few years back, so thats a good time to aim for with the GTR physics, probably 2m12s

XR4ti would fit perfectly in the 1986 ETCC (and '85 and '86 BTCC) set though, and be quite competitive

If its any consolation I built up a couple of Tamiya Skyline Group A model kits (Calsonic and Axia) many years ago. I have just checked and they both have large dials in the dash...

The first versions of the cars are available on my blog (czmb[dot]blogspot[dot]com), few physics update are on TS. But later today I'll upload an update for gen files as they crashed with each other for a mistake I made while creating them. Now that is corrected, all cars work without problems. Also a new cockpit for Volvo has been made, same for a first R32 cockpit update, but consider it beta because I'm still not convinced about it.
If you guys have installed also the HSO addon, I'll upload my GTV6 and Starion cockpit updates aswell, haven't released those yet on my blog.

And I agree about the XR4, there are some skins that could still be made (DTM), plus it was a strange, but nice car..

It wasn't too hard...but I'm still having a mismatch with the Skyline.
Racing against ChrisRX I managed a 2.19 in the Jag. The Skyline is around 2 - 3 seconds quicker though.

A 2m19 in the Jag is probably in the right ball park, similiar pace (or perhaps slightly quicker would be the aim) than the VKs, 240T's, 635 and Rover would be about right.

What is needed in the physics to get the GTR into the 2m12s or 13s?

My only concern is if the GTR was too fast everyone would use it in a league...which kind of defeats the purpose of having multiple cars...

This is the patch for my cars that solves the problem with loading more than one of them at once at the same time: dropbox[dot]com/s/89esppia402k9lb/genfix.zip?dl=0

As soon as the restriction on publishing links on the forum for 7 days ends (Anti-spam measure I presume), I'll post the rest of my updates next week.
Forgot to say, the R32.gen in the genfix archive is now useless, as I've rewritten it for the v2.0. Don't use it on top of it, or it will ctd again.

I have to say I'm enjoying the Jag. I dropped the rear roll bar 1 click which helped tame the rear end a little.
Its such a beast under brakes - especially at the end of the kink down conrod. I'm always braking sideways trying to pull it up!

It was funny watching ChrisRX in the Skyline. As soon as he came out of a corner he would stand on it, and the front wheels would light up trying to get traction!

The 1992 GTRs were paritied back to the field with restrictions, while the 1990 and 1991 GTRs were free (Like with the Sierra RS Cosworths and the RS500 Sierra's in game, or the two specs of Merc 190s).

Maybe seperate physics for the 1992 cars compared to the 1991 and 1990 cars, that way there is the 'slower' versions from 1992 that were comparable with the Sierra's and M3s, but also the 'full-on' GTRsfrom 1990 and 1991 that fit in with the accuracy of the rest of the mod?

at the moment i'm doing the 1992 physics to match try and have similar pace with the rs500. not going to worry about the 1991 r32s having less weight and less power restrictions.

alright, have got addams version of tcl going finally! ended up requiring a full rf lite install with just TCL. can guide anyone else through the installs but basically:
1. install the jag from the HSO mod, some of the other cars are dodgy. 
2. install my R32 add on from the teamspeak TCL file uploads. didn't bother including the JTCC cars in this to test at the moment but have 2 Winfield cars and a GIO car. 
hope that was it, but anyways have a go and see what times you can get in the GTR and the RS500

Hi All
Could someone post up a new updated version of our TCL 1.0 to 1.1 plus addons we have up one the server.
The one on there now has over 50 car skin id missing so only half the cars file is in the folders and in some cases the whole car is missing.
All of my TCL files are corrupted now and I need a fresh new download with all cars please as I have lost my main complete TCL game.
Any help would be fantastic please.
I did not have any TCL files on back up because my daughter formated my external hard drive by accident last night.

updated slower R32 GTR physics on TS for those interested on testing. if you want to see what your quickest times are for the m3 evo, sierra and commo that would also help. thanks

David, if you can upload on a public host like dropbox.com , mega.co.nz , mediafire.com , etc, you have virtually no limit. Just zip them and upload the package.
On a side note, the #1 and #2 R32 are already being skinned if anyone had plans to do them.
