TTR ANOUNCEMENT "New Servers"

Hi Guys,

As you are aware we have been having server issues recently, and the increase in lag has made racing difficult.
We had contacted the server providers to see what's up, and they did find a latency issue, but its still not right. There seems to be no interest from the server providers to look into it further, so we have decided to cancel the hireage and look elsewhere.   

Now the good news! CortyGT has been looking into this and has negotiated with a local server provider that offers more servers for a cheaper rate. There are a few other racing clubs that use these people - JFF and RSM to name a few.
In the next couple of weeks will have 4 - 5 servers that can handle 30+ drivers on race nights, as well as TeamSpeak.
With the extra servers we can have a few mods running, as well as looking into an rFactor 2 or Assetto Corsa server moving forward.

Unfortunately we still have to rely on you guys for donations to keep everything running. There has been mention from other clubs that some guys don't like racing here because of the lag, which tells us it may have been going on for some time.
With the new change we may get more people back to race, and we all know how much fun it is racing with a lot of people!
Any help with donations is very much appreciated!

New servers are now up and running   

We had gave the server a good test with the GT3 - Porsche Championship race, had about 10 people and ran perfectly.
These servers will hold up to 40 people if we need them to, so shouldn't ever have to worry that we don't have enough slots again.

So right now there is the: GT3 - Porsche & TCL servers up.
I've got a V8 Supercar server ready to go, so that will be up anytime soon.
The HistoricGT server is still the old server, but working on that to get it on the new servers.


Also a couple of the guys were having trouble finding the new servers for some reason ?
Make sure you check your "multiplayer.ini" file.
it is located in these folders:
rfactor\userdata\yourname\multiplayer.ini

open that file and look for this line:
Concurrent Server Updates="400"

Change it to this:
Concurrent Server Updates="999"

Then save the changes and restart the game.

After doing that it should be allot easier to find any server.

If you still cant find it, either your looking in the wrong stop or I'm really not sure, lol.

You can always search the IP address, if all else fails.

So for those that are still having trouble finding the server after doing the:
Concurrent Server Updates="400"
to
Concurrent Server Updates="999"
in the multiplayer file.



You can search the IP address in game for the server your looking for.

Here are the IP addresses:
TCL Server:            103.12.10.165:34297
GT3 Porsche server: 103.12.10.165:34307
V8 Supercar server: 103.12.10.165:34410
HistoricGT server:    103.12.10.165:34412

When your in the game go to "Connect", then "Join", then up top on the left you will see a blue rectangle with a "+" sign in it.
Click on that and enter the IP address for the server you are looking for.

What comes up? Clicking on the multiplayer.ini should open a document in note pad. (If not, choose a program and navigate to notepad).
Once that is open, go to Edit, Find, and type the word "concurrent" (Without the ""'s).
It will find the line Concurrent Server Updates="400". Change this to "999"
Then save.
