just remember to practice your starts with the r32 as you really need to ride the clutch off the line.

If anyone cant see cars, you will be missing skins & most likely just have to download the R32 cars again, here is the link:

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 1 (26th July)
Set out trying a few cars, found the Commodore VL the fastest for me at 2:22 but just in time re-read the forum and noted, "one car all season".
Back to the Rover late, pulled it down to 2:25, but could handle that time all day without damage.
Topup with Growlers setup for the Vitesse, sat in behind the 'red OXO cube' of David, and had a great early battle utnil an off from David, I was disappointed, but with a matching off my myself, panicy message that I was stuck on the track, eventually got going again as David's "cube" came past.
Man those last laps were a hoot. David had the straights sorted, but the might Rover would pull it back over the top and down the bottom section, see us bumper to bumper on many occassions.
Thanks Daved and all!
My 'crook' shoulder protested, but the 45 minutes was a great race length. Plus the 'damage settings' allowed for fun racing, still had to be careful, but prevented from racing ending crashes. Nice work.
Go ROVER!

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 1 (26th July)
I really enjoyed the early laps dicing with a bunch of people and the closing laps nose to tail with Flattop were good fun, so much pressure.
Like Flattop, I was keen to run the VL, but I didn't think it would suit other tracks and chose the Cossie. It's half quick, but easy to drive.
I wasn't expecting to make the race, or last the distance, but I'm glad I did.

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 1 (26th July)
was great fun mixing with corty and matt for both races. even the bogged start made for some fun racing dicing back through the pack and an awesome battle with kakswell.
So glad the R32 physics made it competitive against the RS500 and was good to see a few guys chose it.

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 1 (26th July)
Yeah Great night of racing guys !!
Wasn't sure which car to drive this series, the Sierra was very tempting, but seeing the Matt & Chris were both in it, I really wanted to how the R32 stacked up against it over the course of a series at different tracks.
At first I thought the R32 was in need of some improvements, due to allot of understeer.
After the 2x 45min races, I'm now thinking that its good as it is (well done Chrisrx ).
The R32 was definitely strong at the start of the races, I got the launch of the line right both times.
First few corners are like your on egg shells, but once the tyres & brakes heat up its a bullet !
In the first race with not pit stop, showed that the tyres didn't last as long as the Sierra's as Chirsrx was pulling me back in the last half of the race, but was happy to come home 1st (only due to Matts disco, bad luck Matt !)
The second race, I tried my different gear ratios I had and it worked a treat, along with softer tyres as we had to pit for all 4.
Had a good lead coming into the pits over Matt, but coming in I did an Ingal and hit pit wall lol.
Then because I was to busy turning damage off, I missed what the pit lane speed limit was, so I sat on 40km all way through.
Matt past me like I was standing still going through the pits, I thought to myself.. either I'm going to slow or Matt's getting a drive though for speeding in pit lane lol. Well I was going to slow.
Matt came home 1st with me in 2nd, well done Matt
Overall this is going to be a great series !!
I'd say there will be an update for the TWR VL's coming, to give it a fighting chance against the Sierra & R32.
I like the way the TWR VL drives, but it just seems like it needs something.

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 1 (26th July)
Yes the first round was a great race.
Personally I still think the Jag needs tweaking, but will wait to see how everything goes after a few different races.
It is a good mid-range car however.
I got held up at the start of race 2 by a couple of M3's but had a good dice with CD for a few laps at the beginning.
Race 2 I had a ripper start, but the race was lonely as there was no one around me. I did have to pit twice as I hit a wall and punctured a tire. I was trying to catch CD again after he went off.
Some screenshots from the race

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 1 (26th July)
Enjoyed driving the m3 evo, found it a handful at first but after some setup changes and a decent amount of laps I was a lot happier. The car might be an outside threat at some of the tighter circuits.

Great pics Growler, man that Rover looks good, even down the back!
Next question, which Hungary track, there are 2 in the download section and I couldn't find the server to determine which was correct. (last question for this week, I promise)
