Re: Legends of Bathurst - series 1 (2016) info
Ok...I have tried to install this twice with no luck.
I started with a fresh install, loaded 69, then 72, then LOB.
When starting rFactor it only showed the 69 cars. I went to "Vehicles" and it did show the 72 cars and LOB cars but as a separate racing series, but not all grouped together. I managed to take the Escort out but it was only showing as a temp car.
I deleted everything and did a fresh install following the sequence above for installation, and it only showed the 69 and 72 cars as a race series and no LOB.
All I'm doing is extracting the contents into the fresh rFactor install. Do the 69 cars need to be in a separate folder in rFactor as how its extracted?
Any ideas?

I'm not sure what your doing wrong there Growler, but it will be something simple.
The picture that Chris showed of the "vehicles folder is how it should look.
Also when the game first starts once you've installed everything, you will need to load the "Legends of Bathurst" mod up as it will most likely start the BL-1996 mod up.

I d/l and installed this last night and tried a couple of cars offline, all seemed to work OK and I did a couple of laps in our server, all good too, but it seems I didn't get all the skins, I've only got about three or four Escorts and a similar number of Minis.

Hi David,
That's all there was of the Escorts & Minis until the next update & that gets released today
I'm going to just update the current update, so you'll just need to download that again.
Also I'm going to do a full version that will include the 69's & 72's.
Hopefully it will make it a little easier for some.

Cool, I saw all the Escort skins that have been painted and wondered where they were. It would be nice to race a Bob Holden car.
Do all the Escorts have the same physics?

Hey Guys, Unfortunately i will be only able to participate in a few rounds... Can i still select a car?
Don't know whether anybody is having these issues, when i select the RX-7/Escort Twin Cam i get a mismatch? and when i drive the RX-3, my driver sits on the bonnet on the replay? not that it matters lol. And with a few different cars im having some force feedback isuues? Just a couple of things that ive found with mine...

Note that the file is not a .rar file & is a .7z file, so extract it with 7-ZIP.

I'm going to have a good look at the Capri as it seems to be quicker down the straight then the Falcons are, which just isn't right.
So there may be a very small patch early next this week.

Hi guys,
Good to be back.
If Growler doesn't grab it, can I please grab:
1979 - #2 AWA Camaro.
If not, I'll take the Brian Wood Ford Escort 1978 #69 so I can shoot for the class win
Cheers,
CD.

Welcome back CD.
I'll take the #52 Bob Holden Escort from Bathurst '72. How could I choose anything else? Ironically, I'll miss the last two rounds, because I'm going to Phillip Island to race against Bob Holden, and two of his Escorts.

Guys you must confirm on here what car you want, or you could miss out on the night.
Growler, I was joking about all the Mini's being gone, by the time I wrote "just joking", you left the server & never came back
So yeah, thought I'd have a joke after you came in with the RX-7 & I said they were all gone lol.

I would like the Camaro but don't want to take it away from CD if he is keen also.
I was going to take an Escort but there are a couple of strange quirks with it.
There is too much of a gap in gearing between 3rd and 4th, and when braking hard, it kills the engine. For example in the Camaro I can stand on it hard and change down using the engine to help brake, but if I do the same in the Escort, it just dies.
I'm not a big rotary fan, but liked how the RX7 handled. I've yet to try the Falcon, but seeing the way Dave drove it could be a handful (Or that could be the way Dave drives all the time!).
And I checked the list to see if all the minis had gone, (which they hadn't), but I was tired spending all day at Hamptons so went to bed.

The Camaro is Up to you Growler, If there's nothing else you want to drive then take it.
With the Escort, the gears are to real life specs, saying that I did double check the gears and found a mistake with 4th.
Its only just out by .014, so I fixed that and will be in the next update.
So 3rd & 4th are now a pinch closer, but I don't think you will notice a difference.
The Falcon is quite nice to drive actually.
After those, there's still a heap of other cars to choose from, remember there's still all the BL 1972 cars.
The Charger has had further work done to the brakes, so this will also be released in the next update.

Haha! Probably is just me. It's set up to be very tail-happy at Bathurst, so it's full D1 on the smaller tracks. And you know what my driving is like anyway, so yeah. And it's still quick despite those things!

So there may be a very small patch early next this week.
capri is still a bit sketchy on the 3rd to 2nd downshift aswell even at low speeds...
even the xy is better under brakes than the capri too ive noticed whilst doing some laps with stevo

I've been playing around with setting to fix this, it looks like the Capri is doing the same thing as what Growler is saying the Escort is doing.
The brakes shouldn't be hard to fix, but the down shift issue I think ill need help with
It's like the engine has to much engine braking or something ?
When changing down gears it just locks the rears up & kills the engine, instead of reving out as you come down the gears.
