Re: Renault Megane Series - Round 1: Limerock Park
I cut a few laps last night in practice and in between getting run into by Deadman and falling off the road all by myself I finally got to be a bit more consistent.
I'm hoping to jump in and have a crack too. Bloody daylight saving stuffs me with so much to do as soon as I get home from work on a weekday.

I think I might have taken you out when you were lapping me Corty, my apologies for that if so. I was swivelling in my office chair and had no feel for the sim last night (just sold our dining suite).
Turning up late and getting no practice in beforehand stuffed me up a bit so I was a mobile chicane in R2 and drove to simply keep it on the road in R3. Whilst Lime Rock is technically an easy layout, it's a bloody hard circuit because you put a wheel off and you end up firing so far off into the boonies you need a search and rescue party to get you back on track.....

I am of the same. I need to sort the steering wheel settings for one. I was sitting on the line with the wheel rocking left to right. And down the straight is was vibrating like hell!

Does that mean, I need to change the Logitech Profiler every time I go from rF1 to rF2 & back again ?

The new features of rF2 are pretty cool, but I've gotten over them pretty quick !
Having to rubber the track in every time practice restarts is just a waste of time, especially if you can save the rubbered in track & you just have to reload it, there's no point to it & wouldn't be missed if it was taken out.
Also flat spotting tyres & the wheel rattling my teeth out, is getting very old !
I can play rF1 for hours no dramas, but 15min of rF2 & I'm over it.
It's probably mostly because I'm so used to rF1, so is hard to get used to anything else ?
Just got to keep at it I suppose

No it must have been someone else CD, I don't think I lasted 1 lap when I hit the escape button.
But yeah a solid chair & setup is a must for sim racing, best thing to do is build one to suit yourself with a nice comfy car chair.
I have a MK2 Ford Escort seat LOL, excellent for the long race nights
We should make a section so everyone can share their pictures of there racing sim setups.
