Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
My night went like PRDEL.
Qualified 2.6 seconds off the pace.
Spun on the last lap of the first race. Dropped 2 spots to 9th or something. Yey
Skipped the second race.
Had pole in the last race due to reverse grid. I lead for about 3 laps, then i got bullied into submission by Wobbly and Squeekmo on the straight. Spun and ended up 7th. Sorry guys, i prolly shoulda yielded earlia.
Also managed to spin into STIG333 who was giving me hell and flashing his lights at me for 3 laps, so eh. Dont know him.
After i realised that im not very good at this racing thing, i called it quits before i took anyone important out.
Good nights racing.

Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
For a walk up 1st start in this mod I was pretty happy with the way things went (have only done half a dozen laps @ Timaru in the Utes too so didn't know the track either!).
R1. Still learning track...managed to finish after many offs. R2. Got the larger fuel tank which helped keep the rear end at the rear(!!!) plus played with the brake setup and a better performance.
R3. Kept up the pace way better as I was getting used to the car & track, stayed within 3 secs of Kwik-Kiwi for most of the race & ended up 5th so pretty stoked.
Seeing Sundays are too difficult to get to at the mo, may do a few more of the Tuesdays with this. Good fun. Hope to catch yas soon.

Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
Thanks Benny for the reminder
Havnt been able to race at all lately been working two jobs
and trying to install our new kitchen,
only by chance did i find benny`s reminder at about 630pm. Great mod,
awsome track never seen that one before.
Could not get the thing off the line, probably due to lack of
race starts in the cars and or ability, sorry if i wrecked your race.

Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
Another great night in the Sprinters.
Q: Ran a low fuel load which made the PRDEL a bit loose. Ended up over driving it and ran a best of 1.10.300 something. Good enough for 6th after lapping in the top 3 during practice I wasn't too happy with it but at least there's no points up for grabs in qually.
R1: Got a good start and moved through the field quickly, getting into third where i followed Stig before getting around him in not the cleanest of passes so Stig was all to happy to flash his headlights at me whilst shaking his fist. He got back around me later that lap but i passed him again on the next lap and started to pull away finishing 2nd but only because Wobbly was playing demolition derby's with Kris.
R2. Started in 2nd and held off Wobbly for most of race but made a mistake as he was pressuring me and he got around me with about 2-3 minutes to go. Finished in 3rd.
R3: Reverse grid, started in 10th i think and after the first 3 corners was running 4th with Wobbly and Kyle right behind. after a couple of laps i was on the tail of the leader but Wobbly was right on me. We were 3 wide trying to get around Shayn as quickly as possible so sorry if we were a bit pushy Shayn, I had Wobbly putting the hammer down right behind me. Soon after Wobbly and Kyle got around me and i had a very lonely race from then on in and finished 14 seconds off the leaders.
I was pretty happy with the result as i didnt get as much practice time as i would have liked. Bring on next week

Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
I had major PRDEL problems pre-race so i wasn't sure i was going to make it through the races....
But i did and what a great night it was..... had some great battles and the odd spin.... had Stigg ram one up my PRDEL in race 3 (Czech Road Rage?)
He probably wouldn't have done it if he knew of my earlier problems in that area.....

Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
Had good fun last but was in struggle town big time got the hang of the car mid way through race one and battled with Kiwi for a while
Race 2 was going well for a while had some moments though
Race 3
Had shocking Frame rate couldn't work out what was going on so had to pull out turn 1. Worked out later as I run windowed mode so I can do grid on second screen I must have grabed the rfactor window and placed couple of mm into the second screen when returning from doing weights and grid. Being that one is 32inch and other 16inch and different res it cause serious lag and was lucky to be getting a frame a sec

Not at all kris bloody ripper race
if i was fast enough i would of got by cleanly,
i did get a run on ya there down the front straight but it wasnt
enough, enjoyed practice couldnt believe i quallied front row
buggered 4 starts in a row, tops. First time id kranked up
rfactor in about a month, too much going on atm.
ill be lucky to sneak a couple more races in over the

Re: AE86 - Post Timaru
Great nite as usual loving the cars and track choices....another new one for me and really enjoy 60'ish second circuits for some reason
Quali......dont wanna talk about it to much, as i was on for a 1.07 when kris rammed me either looking for trannies or sandpits......not sure which but he was in a hurry and was takin no prisoners
Had a pretty much Prdel free nite other than race 1 where i balls'd up pretty bad and ended up all over the shop, race 2 and 3 were pretty much a case of trying to stay with kyle and keep squeek behind me p2 in both of em, altho race 3 i did at least manage to catch and pass kyle eventually, but after some full on defending and prdel mounting action from kyle he finally squeezed back through and went on for the win. noteworthy too was floydies pace in the races it didn't go unnoticed shame ur starts let u down mate
must appologise to shayne too as squeek and i pretty much made a sandwich outta ya coming out of last turn and neither of us wanted to lift or give way so u got stuck in the middle......looked bloody hilarious in the replay but prob scared the crap outta of ya getting rubbed either side by both cars at full noise
Ive finally realised after the 3rd race and comments here.....low fuel load is not the way to go and might explain why kyle and a few others were killing me on exit speed lol.....i actually went faster with more fuel and the weight penalty in r3 that i did in quali or the other races....so i think fill her up next quali
again thanks to all the guys for a top nite....and how did everyone thing the weight adding went?
just another thought how bout a handicap race car u do that in rfactor where u go a certain seconds apart based on your quali times that always looks a close format
cheers wobb
