Pre Pukekohe
Guys....
After people dropping out last night and comments about race length, I wanted to get some feedback on the 50 Lap race next Tuesday.
Do we have the 50 lap race or do we break it up to 3 x 20 min races?
Have your input and Benny and I will make a decision based on the feedback.
Cheers

Re: Pre Pukekohe
I prefer several short races to one long one.
Drop outs, late arrivals, people who have to go to bed early, people who can't sit for long periods, people who get stuck in sand traps.........

Re: Pre Pukekohe
Hard to say David with the flexible options and tuning in the first race here Wobbly was running 1m03's but the car doesn't have the revs or setup to achieve this I don't believe it would be possible this time. I haven't had a run yet to let you know where im at

Re: Pre Pukekohe
the 30 min races in these cars gets boring for me,
maybe if tyre wear and fuel was on 3x it would bring cars back togeather in the pits????
just a thought

Re: Pre Pukekohe
I prefer enduros myself, but at the same time I'd hate to get to 45 laps & lose connection. Maybe 2 x 25 laps?

Re: Pre Pukekohe
Format change for the final round of the AE86 Kiwi Challenge.
We will have 4 x 15min races with race 2 and 4 being reverse grid.
Just in case you missed it..........................
Open set ups are back of this round!!!!
us slower folk might appreciate a set up...... (please)....

Re: Pre Pukekohe
This should be interesting... I believe having fixed setups was detrimental to achieving parity as some guys, Kris for example was right on the pace with open setups but dropped 1/2 a second when we introduced fixed setups. This was probably due to not being able to balance the care the way we liked and also made the cars more punishing if a mistake was made as the lower revs would make it bog down more if you messed up.
If we are still looking for parity, what about a weight penalty based on Championship points? On second thought...only about 6 guys rocked up for the whole series so that wouldnt work... :/

totally agree squeek it seems from sls we were a lot closer on open setups, which is suprising as u think it would bring us closer, shows different styles require different setups i spose, looking 4ward to this one as the racing was close here last time

Re: Pre Pukekohe
Well the parity experiment didn't go as planned but it was something we wanted to try....
Some of the future series (HQ's for example) should produce some very close racing...

Re: Pre Pukekohe
In a world first I'm gonna take common sense over stupidity!
I've now got some other stupid flu like ailment and feel like cr@p.
So I'll skip doing any racing tonight, as my brain ain't functioning
properly and I wouldn't want to wipe anyone who is in championship
contention out.
Good news is that I'll see some of you on Saturday for the 2 Hour
Bathurst Enduro. Teaming up with Smelly Skidmarks from XFactor Racing
in a Commodore and will be good to catch up with some of you on track again.
Good luck all 4 2nite & Catch yas at the Mountain on the weekend (if not on the praccy server b4 hand).
