Dan Wheldon Dies
Hey Guys.
Dan Wheldon lost his life racing at Las Vegas.
His car hit the catch fencing cockpit first.
He died in hospital a few hours after the accident.
My thoughts go to his family and crew.
R.I.P. Dan Wheldon

Extremely sad. It was a horrific crash.
Glad they're getting rid of these crap chassis.
This is the other side of racing...

Very sad, RIP Dan
Hard to believe i was spectating in turn 4 just four months ago when Dan swept through to win the Indy 500...
To be fair Web, the chassis had very little to do with the accident.

To the contrary, I reckon the chassis is as much to blame as the choice of venue. The things have (had) a significantly increased chance of taking off the ground and getting airborne in accidents, which is obviously extremely dangerous. Compare them to the CART chassis of late-90s, which were far less likely to fly despite having many more horsepower.
