2012 Icons Endurance Series

Du Mans 2.65 ICONS ENDURANCE SERIES 2012
xFactor Racing is proud to announce a new series that will race on selected Friday nights. The Icons Endurance Series (IES) will use the Series Internationale du Mans (full v. 2.65) mod by Carpe Noctem using the GT-1 & GT-2 class cars, and will race on some of the World’s most iconic circuits. The seven round series will kick off on March 16 at Charade 2006 and finish December 7 at Nordschleife 2007_Tourist (v.2.21).

Five rounds will be 90 minute races, while two will be of 120 minutes duration worth double points. Each class will contest for its own “Brabham Cup”. In addition to this, both 2 Hour races will have class awards: the “Jim Richards Cup” for the Bathurst Enduro, and the “Vern Schuppan Cup” for the final round at Nordschleife. Finally, there will be the “Jason Richards Memorial Teams Trophy” to see which clan will reign supreme! TTR members will be able to register in SLS shortly through xFactors' SLS registration portal.
The three clans for the series are now settled: xFactor Racing, Trans Tasman Rivals (TTR), and Rock Solid Mates (RSM).

Five of the rounds will have their own event specific features.

The rounds and dates (TBC) are:
Rd 1. March 16 Charade 2006 (90 Minutes)
Rd 2. May 4 Bathurst 2006 (120 Minutes) – Simulating 24 Hours (Double Points)
Rd 3. June 15 Rouen 1974-94 (90 Minutes) – Rolling Start
Rd 4. August 10 Singapore Bay GP (90 Minutes) – Night Race
Rd 5. September 21 Suzuka GP 2005 (90 Minutes) – Qualification Shootout (Up to Top 10)
Rd 6. November 2 Laguna Seca ALMS (90 Minutes) – Late Afternoon/Twilight Race
Rd 7. December 7 Nordschleife 2007_Tourist (120 Minutes) (Double Points)

This is an open series, though grid spots will be limited by the server.
Preferences will be given to Clan team drivers if numbers exceed server capacity, so register NOW!

The teams are "Clan Teams". It means you race solo for individual points/awards, but your points are also added into
your clan teams (well, the top 'x' point-scorers in each race for each clan in this instance), so there is a clan award at the end of the series
for best performing clan (xFactor or TTR etc...).

There will be a "Team Captain" for each clan, Nibiru for xFactor & Benny for TTR (and possibly a 3rd clan?).
Once you've registered in SLS (registrations will start very very soon), your Team Captain will "invite" you to join their "Clan Team".
You can then accept their invitation, and SLS should do the rest (I hope!!! ).

The registration thread in SLS for the Endurance series is now open.

(I think you can use your TTR username & password to enter?) You need to register again (See Benny's comments below).

After you've registered for the series, a team captain (Nibiru for xFactor, TTR Benny for TTR)will invite you to join their respective "Clan Team". You can then accept (or decline if you wish)and SLS should do the rest.

Remember, there are 2 classes, GT-1 & GT-2. Please choose wisely.
It will be the top point-scorers (irrespective of class) for the round that get included in their clan teams points,and each class has their own points table.

No I don't believe you can use Ttr username If you haven't registered in the past with Xfactor you will need to with there sls first. It maybe a possiblity in the future but not currently

I'd be keen to run in this series

I'll be more than happy to participate in this, of course If I'm allowed to race with you TTR guys as part of the clan? I'll be happy to take anyone on under my wing and give them help with setups and driving tips also
