Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
Hey guys
I have loaded up on the V8 server, Melbourne GP4 (the track version we have used before) and also Melbourne11 (a newer version)
I have set it up as 20min practice / 10min Qualifying / 10 min Warm up and then 15min race and then it rolls over to the other version track.
Track download here... http://ttrracing.com/admin/tracks/Melbourne2011.zip
Give them both a run and give us your feedback... at this stage we will have an official test session this Saturday before making a final decision on which to use.

Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
Oh.. Found it! =)
Well anyway..
I mad my debut test run on V8 Factor Unleashed, (having previously came from FVRFactor)! All I can say is that V8 Factor is awesome, it feels great, looks great and even sound greats. I practiced on the older Melbourne GP4 offline and produced a 2minute 13seconds, only had about 5 laps. Is that alright?
Might hop on the server tomorrow!

Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
It's fine mate as long as your having fun it is massive difference from FVR. Most have take the same step coming from FVR and the difference is pretty massive learning to drive them. My qual time on the GP4 track was 1:55.954 but I was running the Sprint tyres which are softer and have far more grip. Plus remember I have pretty much played this mod every saturday night for a year and half and have know all the tricks to setting them up.
What you will find is everyone where will help you ask questions online and off line.
Here is my setup that I used last saturday night was pretty good run up the front half most of the night http://www.ttrracing.com/admin/Setups/Melbourne%20Setup.svm

Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
Is there an easier way to find the V8 Server. There is a whole list of servers and it's hard to find the server!
Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
Click on the series tab at the top so it sorts them into order then it is easier to find as all the v8 servers are grouped together then.
Been doing some practice for this weekend in the renter car around the gold coast streets. Pre Booked a SV6 months in advance but Unfortunately the performance is pretty average due to them dumping me in FG XR6, I begged to downgrade back to Hyundai or a kia something that i could be seen in but wasn't anything available. Thinking about doing what kiwi did to the beautiful Holden we shared at the Bathurst enduro last year.

Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
sigh. looks like im gonna have to give up my series lead. lol
not gonna make it home from the GP tonight after dropping people off etc.
Shattered cos i was looking forward to this series going well. I know i wouldn't have remained on top, but still missing out on a possible 200 or so points is huge.
Ah well, the F1 cars are worth it . . . i guess.
Possibly might make the second race. GLA if i dont make it.

Saturday night race
Hi ,
Hope I'm not to late to reply to racing tonight. It will be my first time racing. I have cracked the 2 mintue mark on the track in practise this week. Not the fastest but I am a very clean racer.
I'm in Brisabne so as per the server time table that will be 7.00pm here.
I have download team speak aswell.
Thanks

Re: Pre Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park, Melbourne
benny sharyn and i test drove sv6's and we both agree the xr6 is better
so sorry you have to tough it out in a superior car.
I would like to say that both the new commodores and falcons are miles too heavy
a year 2000 magna vrx can actually beat the current model sv6 and the non turbo xr6.
however if you want to go back a couple of years we found the vz type sv6 to be far superior than the current one.
if your serios about 6cyl power get a xr6 turbo
if your serious about normal aspiration find an old vrx in good nick.
if your too embarrassed to ride in a magna
get a vz sv6 or any xr6 is a fantastic car.
