Additional TCL liveries available
Hey all,
Benny has kindly packaged up a collection of my TCL liveries for download.
They encompass mostly 1985 & 1986 cars, as well as a few 1987 and 1988 cars. The majority are ATCC cars, but also some Bathurst, WTCC, ETCC as well some Australian cars from the likes of AMSCAR, Australian Endurance Championship, AGP Support races etc which are in the Misc folder.
I made sure that none of the file names clash with any other cars on the mod, so it shouldn't replace any cars on it.
Here is the link;

I've got a few more to add in the future as well.

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
Kudos to Luke, some greta liveries here.
Shano, did all of them work for you or did you get some text files, with no DDS file to match?
That's what happened to me and I'm trying to work out if the problem is here or there.

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
I can resend the files to Benny if needs be
I tried the download all seems to be in there on my end. I can make up a list of what new cars should be in there perhaps?

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
Had a look this morning at BMW at this stage eg: Bathurst 85 richards longhurst one second one can't pick. It appears all the other ones I have found like this have the same veh file names but with the letter a on the end. So thought all good easy fix NOT doesn't work
So recreate the TCL85h01a veh file from the original same problem
Then noticed that some of the veh files are hidden maybe it is that nope that doesn't fix either.
The section I was trying was the Bathurst 85 635. File TCL85h31a 31 Crichton/Fury is the exception both TCL85h31a and the original TCL85h31 work fine. Have checked the veh files on these compared to the others all the others are built the same. I can't work out what is wrong sorry guys will have a look again during this week

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
Try deleting the non-"a" files or delete all TCL files and reinstall fresh. All those cars work 100% for me.

I tried re extracting and resinstalling these files and still got exactly the same problem. 635s work fine btw, but many other cars i get a text file and no DDS to match. I'll d/l again and see what happens.

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
I d/l again and it took ages this time, so i thought yay! It must be d/l a bigger file this time, but I just unpacked it and no different, still heaps of cars incomplete, a text file w/no DDS file. Grr.

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
I've just worked out the problem! I'm d/l the files OK, but I'm not extracting all of them. I can see them in bitzipper, but I can;t extract them. I have three RAR extractor tools, all of them are free evaluation versions and all of them have expired.
I see no reason to subscribe to all of them, but clearly I need to subscribe to one of them. Which do y'all recommend?
Winrar, WinZip or Bitzipper?

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
This is getting weirder, all the missing cars are appearing in game, but I can't see the DDS or VEH files for them in C:/program files/rFactor/game data/vehicles etc.

As a test Shano, try changing one of the 'double upped' car numbers in the veh file
eg..go to the veh file for my version of the 1985 #62 Jim Richards ATCC 635, and change the car number to say "#162 Jim Richards", and see if that allows you to click on both in game.
(make sure you change mine only though, not David's skins or the originals as they are already upped to the server so any change there would cause a mismatch)
Sorry for some of the trouble, first time i have done all the packaging etc..
I will also probably go through everything resend all the files to see if it fixes the hidden files problem.

Re: Additional TCL liveries available
Ok so it the drivers names in the description of the veh file that are
stuffing it up. This will also solve my v8 skin problem so very happy
BMW 635 Bathurst 1985. Car 01 and Car 21 you can't pick them at all the new version that is but for some reason car 31 you can.
So had a closer look car 31
in file TCL85h31
Description="#31 Chrichton/Fury"
in file TCL85h31a
Description="#31 Crichton/Fury"
Notice the miss spelling letter h second description is missing
So I tried car 01 and 21 put a space between the name
was
Description="#01 Richards/Longhurst"
Now
Description="#01 Richards / Longhurst"
And it worked same with car 21
was
Description="#21 Ravaglia/Cecotto"
Now
Description="#21 Ravaglia / Cecotto"
So it uses the Description as well to work out car selection
So we can fix all and just re upload the veh files anyone that hasn't downloaded just wait a few days while we fix it and it will be all good. Those that have we will release a patch small download to fix what you have
