Hi guys,

Just wanted to put a little piece together as there has been a few incidents of late in the PCC07 Series..

Accident's cant all ways be avoided and we all know this it has all ways been apart of racing in the real world and in the sim world there are no exceptions
sometimes you out break yourself and hit the car in front, sometimes the car in front breaks early and the cars hit each other and its a mess, This will happen.. we all race together most weeks and should know most peoples strengths and weakness and we should all adjust our driving style to suite.
If you do knowingly turn someone and create contact then you should apologize and pull over a wait for that car to re enter the race back in front of you even if other cars pass you.

Driving your line is fine even if it different to other peoples but choose a line a stick to it even if you are car getting lapped there is nothing worse then trying to pass a car all over the shop.

If you are a lapped car you are at no time allowed to try and race the front runners to the corner(even if you are faster), If you are lapped then you must use care when passing unlapped(frontrunning) cars, Use TS to ask to go past or only pass when there is a genuine opportunity to do so, if you need to wait it out for multiple laps then do so.

off the line of late has been chaos everyone is in a mad rush to get to turn one first and it isn't working out for a lot of guys and most of the time the guys causing the incidents are least affected, the first lap of every lap/mod/track is crazy enough Cold tires/brakes and the server itself only comes real good after a few laps and the cars spread out, If there is a genuine opportunity to make a few spots up of the start then by all means go for it but there just seems to be more hope and pray than anything.
Please a race is never won on the first lap and certainly never at turn 1

and the end of the day in all forms of motor sport quick cars get caught in the pack or slow cars find there way near the front what ever it maybe or where ever you are on track all ways think about your opportunities to pass before you do them if it takes a couple of laps to build up a passing move then do so then that's racing. I also urge everyone to jump on TS at race nights and use that wonderful tool to inform other cars of your situation as the race progresses, at least map the appropriate Quick chat buttons.

this is by no means a rant to say "Do Not Overtake" it's more of a think before you do, we are a community and its in all our interest's to see as many cars as possible cross the finish line and to be more competitive it simply makes for much, much better racing..

thanks for your time and PM me at anytime with any issues. See you on the track

Cheers Sean,

Well put Sean...

This applies to all mods / nights / races at TTR and is also covered in our rules, here
https://transtasmanrivals.forumotion.com/t2-rules-for-trans-tasman-rivals

More than happy to discuss any section of the rules that is not clear.

We want everyone to have fun (it's why we do this, isn't it?)...
We have also been protest free for a good while and want it to stay that way.. Very Happy

Thank's Kiwi,, Just wanted to take Highlight in particular the section on race starts from the TTR Rules.

Race Starts
"The risk of accidents at the
start of a race, just like in real-life lacing is extremely high due to
all the cars being tightly packed together. First lap incidents can be
avoided by being careful. There is always a temptation to see a gap and
attempt a high risk move, but as the tightly packed field congests gaps
can disappear very quickly leaving you with no place to go. You can
however by attempting a kamikaze move, create a serious pile up, spoil
your race and several other competitors, and lose the respect of others!

For a reverse grid race all the normal rules apply. Just because a faster
driver may be behind changes nothing, drivers in front are not expected
to give up their positions and the drivers behind need to avoid
colliding with drivers in front of them as always. If anything is
different from normal, it is expected the faster more skilled drivers
who are now at the rear of the field will be better at avoiding
incidents."
