Post Rd12 - Gold Coast

Arrived home too late to get involved in Race 2, viewing on liveracers though it looks like a fabulous turnout!

How did everyone's night go?

BL Racer. Shame you didnt make it. Couple used a couple more cars.

Um. That was my worst night of racing ever.

Qualified wherever. In the middle.

Race 1 i was going ok for couple laps in 10. Then i Rolled the car over the stoopid kerbs. Rolled it again. 2 laps later. Lost the will to live and got lazy.Cut Dano off at the T1 chicane. Sorry mate. Rammed some walls. Got a drive through for speeding in the pits. It didnt work. Got DQ.

Race 2 Rolled the car somewhere, or spun it or something. Back of the pack. Will to live, lost. Made up some ground throughout the race. Then caught up to Billy who had lapped me along with everyone else.

I got back in front of Billy, dunno why. Stoopid thing to do. Hit the trampolines spun the car. Caused a pile up on the back section. Took out Fez, Billy and Bodee hit me too i think.

Really sorry guys. Noob mistake. Sorry Billy.

WD to the winners. Especially wd to Mozza. Great effort to get up there in the Merc, two races in a row.


Epic failure.

Was an okay night from my perspective. First night driving the M3 qualified 18th and finished 13th first race. Second race was an abortion after 3/4 of a lap but the less said about that the better probably....finished 14th after a long slog from the back of the field. That's racing I suppose! Well done to Corty and all. Hope to never race that track again lol.

Quali - No where. Prob about 11th i think. Worst quali of the season for me. Shit track, shit track, shit track.....

Race 1
Usual epic Merc start off the line, foiled by the usual lag happy Mardi Gras floats in front. Back chicane, couple of cars in front of me stopped, nothing I could do. Nailed a sierra and spun both of us. Think it may have been one of the RSM fellas. Waited, he didnt get moving so I took off. Drove through the field, some great battles with a few blokes, notably Pete. Finished 6th. Couldnt have done much better.

Race 2
Messy up the front again. Made up a position or 2, only to lose 'em in the drag down to the tyres. Couldn't stay with the Sierras or Berls in his Leb mobile. Held off Hayden in his Mardi Gras float. Chris had a bit of a nibble for a few laps in his Swedish box but yeh. Ended up alone again and came home 6th.

Shit track. Never race it again. Should be removed from all servers. Everywhere. World wide.

WD to Pete, getting some good speed outta that Rover after his run in a Sierra at Bathurst.

Abu Dhabi next - TWR and Sierra territory. Might request Merc Evo for it.


Edit - was epic to have to run the 40 slot server as we had too many for the 26! Hope to see everyone in 2013 for the WTCC TCL series!!!!

race was awesome with amount a drivers, numerous battles, mozza, myself annd a vl commo driver were going at it for quite a few laps.
ended up grabbing 7th in race 2 with the volvo so it wasnt too bad. the mid pack battles are insane! under cut the rover on pit strategy which was good too but he was gaining pretty fast at the end!

great turnout was good.....was fkin hard when every1 playin pinball at this track...

what a turnout last night, that was awesome having that many people on the grid

qualified 4th i think, pretty had with that, didn't think the commo would even get close to the sierras

R1- got a pretty good start and was 2nd behind yaystenny. tried to keep corty behind for as long as possible but soon enough he got by down the front straight. from there on drove around by myself and finished 3rd

R2 - had the usual shit start and was dicing with fez chris and mozz for the first few laps. had a tops battle with fez for the majority of the race and towards the end we caught yaystenny too. don't know what happened to fez but he drop back so tried to get on the tail of yaystenny but on the last lap i tapped the inside of a corner and had a half spin. sorry to the m3, think it was chris, who i nearly took out when i was turning around. just stayed in front of fez and finished 3rd.
the track was a bit ordinary but still had a bloody ball last night

could have been me! there was laughs the whole night with some very high two wheeled action and a few roll overs.

Well I have to say "GREAT TRACK !!!" as I always seem to do well here in all types of cars.
Awesome turn out last night and great shot of the grid from chrisrx.

race 2 = 1st
Doesnt get better than that

I had a little trouble getting off the line once again and got swamped a little in both races, will have to work on that.
With this track if you find the sweat spot in the setup, then the track tends to come to you.

Firstly what a horrible track but hey its still better then Hamilton. Secondly good racing. Good job to CortyGT and Berlsy and all the others that survived that race.

Qual: Really struggled to get a lap in the serria. Did a 1:17.6 but i was beating that in the race on hards.

Race 1: Excellent start (Rare for me). Kept Corty behind long as possible but ended up getting killed my the repair damage bug but i was still happy with 2nd.

Race 2: Excellent start again but the rest of the first lap was shit. Corty got past and i was trying to keep on his bumper when i hit him when he was having some 2 wheel action (Sorry). My car was damaged but i plotted on as he got futher away. Tyres went off as i tried something different and got involved with a few back marker incidents. Ended up trying to keep second driving the worst handling Mardi Gras parade float in the world. Was very happy to finish with a second after all that although i saw Berlsy and Fez coming hard.

Good racing. I'll be back once again in that Poor excuse for a car with a ford badge on it that is insanely quick, next time.

Omce you got into the swing of the track it wasn't as bad as I thought. The chicane around the back was a pain becuase if I didn't get it right the Rover would just swap ends on the exit.
I ran with extra hards which seeed to suit the Rover here. I couldn't match the pace of Peter308 however.
Generally good racing all round...

Well...I do like to be different. I could be a "me too" and use the Sierra or Commodore, but thats too easy.

all every 1 does is whinge about fkin sieeras and commodores... like big fin deal its not like its the only car people have raced or started in.... pffffffffffffffffffft

I have never complained about the Sierra's (Spelt correctly) or Commodores. I know they are fast and the Rover can't keep up, but its my choice to be different and not pick the car everyone else does...

same reason for racing the volvo. bit more fun seeing how high you get with a handicapped car

I feel the same Growler. Too much emphasis on driving the fastest car in each class. Supposed to be about the racing isn't it? Who cares if you're not coming first.....
