Pre Rd13 - Abu Dhabi (28 October)

We roll on to Abu Dhabi on October 28 for the next round of the series

Race Format - 3 x 9 laps (this series usually does 1/3rd the real distances, but with the V8 round only being three 12 lappers, given its roughly 2mins a lap i thought 4 lap races were not enough)

Tyres - x3
Fuel - x3

Qualifying - 7:30pm AEDT

Sweet track.

Had a bit of a practice tonight, havnt been on this track for a year maybe 2 ?
This one may be interesting as I dont think the tyres will last long on the quick cars.
there are a couple of long straights but also alot of twisty stuff too.

There seems to be a glitch in the review mirrors ? A couple of others were saying the same.

the version of abu dhabi is currently the dodgiest version you could use, the f1rs2011 track pack has a better version.

Have you got a link. I have the funeral today so can't do anything but if a few would like to have a look and have a chat to racer if it is worth switching or not I'm sure kiwi or Dano would be able to switch the server over if it is required tonight

still is same layout so should be ok to change...

Are we definetly going with the new version? I don't mind either way, but it would be nice to know so I can practice over the weekend.

I put the message up wednesday Morning First thing I was then away for a couple of days. I would have thought best to have sorted it out by wednesday night by the time we got to thursday night the time is getting pretty close to event and I don't think it would be fair to change the track for people who have practiced.

So it isn't a case of only a few have practiced I Personally think unless we had atleast 80 percent of people above saying yay to a swap at this point makes it very hard to swap tracks.

My appologies but I was tied up with my mother in laws funeral this week which has not left me time to be in position to sort out the issue when it need to be.

I did attempt to on wednesday but basically leaving it with the group to come up with a decision and work with racer and kiwi to get it switch that night if it was required.

Don't stress Benny. Contrary to popular belief, we are all adults and we are all using the same track so we are all in the same boat.

i wont be able to race on sunday night as im at a bass fishing tournament.

I'm well excited for this. Once you get used to the track I reckon it's pretty good!
Only thing is your car runs out of everything after about five laps lol.
I was having some good battles just now with Fez. I managed to clock a decent time,
and pipped Fez' Cossie by less than a tenth. Looking forward to Sunday!
