NAGT Round 3 - Vanport 12th March

There will be three 20 minute races for this round - the last race being a wet race!
Exiting the pits can be a pain. When you exit the carpark turn right. If you turn left you will get a DQ.

Qualifying
Qual starts at 8.00pm TTR time.
This will be a 10 minute session. You are allowed 4 laps in total. 1 out lap, 2 hot laps and 1 warm down lap only.
If everyone does their two qual laps within the 10 minutes we will roll to warm-up earlier.

First Race
The first race is 20 minutes long - dry track

Second Race
The second race is 20 minutes long - dry track
Grid made up of the finish positions of race 1

Third Race
The second race is 20 minutes long - wet track
Grid made up of the finish positions of race 2

Guys - I wouldn't mind testing this track in the wet first. Maybe we can jump on Monday night after 8.00pm TTR time to test?

Should be on later for some practice, wet track could be interesting..otherwise have to wait for a couple more rounds for a track with corners

in the dry for this track, I got a 1.08.3
its a shame there is no hot-laps for practice

I managed a 1.18.03 in the Corvette in the rain. You have to be oh-so-careful on the throttle here (It will teach you smooth driving...)
Me thinks the 4WD's will be quick in the last race.

If anyone is around, jump on so I can test the wet track...

Get a bunch of guys hanging around in cars and you end up...drag racing!!!!!

I got the RX8 to launch hard though
I don't know who invited the fridge though

With regards to the wet race, low TC and ABS are available if you chose to use it.
If you haven't practised this track in the wet, you will spend most of the time spinning...

Actually I was the Fire Engine

4Wd cars will do well here by the looks, especially in the wet

Congrats to Sulley who managed a blindingly quick qualify time in the second race.
Race 1 and 2 was good in the dry...

...then the heavens open up for the last race...

great racing with dean, growler for the majority of race 2 and 3, trying to chase you down with those straights was quite difficult. thought race 3 would have more severe offs and the colder track might be better suited to the softer tyre with less wear on the slippery track so opted for the sticker tyres, 5 laps longer and it would have been sweet but they turned to crap and had no grip despite being all in the temp window and not even yellow on the guage.

Mmmm probably my best chance of a win, with a bit of luck...so of course I didn't really get any...

Catchup in both dry races, either ran outta fuel or tyres..lucky to get podiums.

Wet race what a nightmare..framerate dropped to 7 on front straight..found the problem, when I reinstalled FRAPS I didn't notice that F9 turns on video recording...LOLS..so using ABS F9 key was the culprit

after first few laps I ran outta HD space and then FPS returned to normal and threw me off the track..clawed my way back to a 3rd, so coulda been worse..
