ORA - the end of the old and on with the new.

With the forthcoming demise of the old ORA, Online Racing Australia, the admins decided it was necessary to make contingency plans to continue our racing home into the future.

With that in mind, we decided to take advantage of the two free race servers with cable connections that we had at our disposal, to create a new forum and new domain for our home page. The forums are now officially open for sign-ups, so all our racing friends are welcome to join us in our new Home.

Management of the new ORA will be democratic with decisions made by the group of admins. We have included in the new forums a section for any member to Suggest a series, one off event or fun run that they would like to see, or may like to run.

Our plans are to run rF1 and RF2 Series on a fortnightly basis with Race Night now being Thursdays. The first Series is already posted up and will be a Porsche GT3 series on all North American road courses, plus one street circuit for the final race.

The BIG Annual Events that many people have come to expect at ORA will continue, so you can still look forward to the 6/24 Enduro and Green Monster 500 among other new events.

We will also have a quick race server running V8Factor Unleashed, AND, we will be offering some Shoot-em-up games to relieve the tension

And we haven't forgotten fans of iRacing, so we have included a community section on our forums for members who enjoy this Sim.

So that's the basic run down of how things stand at the moment folks.

UPDATE: I have found the forum which seem alive and well. There is no comment about closing down?

It's still alive. Odd, the forum was down for me for a few days :\
