Under 2.5L - Nurburgring

The Nurburgring server is up and these cars are fun to drive around this unforgiving track. will try and configure it to run into dusk.

This will be a great event to end the series. Running into dusk sounds like a great idea Chris

Race specifics as discussed the other night;

Race Length - 60mins

Start Time - 7.30pm as usual for 'official' practice with a race start of 8pm

Starting Grid will be the Championship finishing positions reversed. Please be in the server by 7.50pm so the grid can be set and the race started on time. If you are later than this you will start from the back of the grid.

New entrants are certainly welcome of course, for this event though you will be required to start off the back as this is an end of series special event.

thanks for that Benny, seen a few people in there practicing ready. benny if the race finish time is around 8pm track time that should give some dusk racing before the green hell becomes a black hell!

Sorry to stuff up the liveracers leaderboard, did two outlaps because I got confused when the clock didn't start. I now know what the deal is here at the Nurburgring.....

I have enough trouble remembering the corners of a 2min track, I think I need a navigator for this one. LOL 

hot tip. Dont go near the TURN 1 curb. if you cross it even a tiny bit, your lap is invalidated.

Devastated to be missing this one... Just turned 4 laps of the Nordschleife in a 318i... Underpowered but still enough to scare the crap out of me on that track

Yes mate. Hired the car from a company called Need for Ring, it was properly set up with roll cage, harness, racing seats pedals etc. 4 laps were €330. The rfactor version of the track is really accurate, which was a great help because of the blind corners. Had a moment going over a kerb in the downhill esses but kept it straight thankfully. Rfactor doesn't do justice to the crowds waiting for a crash though!

Ohhh man, that's awesome. So doing it on rF actually helps on the real track? I guess you sorta know what to expect rather than someone who's never seen it before.

It must be strange though actually feeling the bumps and blind crests. That shit must be scary as.

Hi all, was going to have a crack tonight but I have to redownload everything(been off in the clouds playing flightsim).
Unfortunately it is 7.07pm and tcl still at 67% and the track at 17% and moving s l o w.

Bit off topic but well done to David Patterson in last race at Lakeside today, awesome battle with none other than the person that built that car in another Corrolla, Bob Holden might be 80 but he still has it and David and Bob had an awesome battle, must be an honour to race against him David
