Round 2 - Sandown 68 - Jan 19th

                       RACE DAY !!                      

Well what a race day! never raced the car before and haven't raced these cars so i thought it would be pretty interesting. who would have known the cars were the easy part! That track was very unforgiving, especially the hay bales at the last turn!

Quali was shit, had to do 2 laps before i could do a timed one even though i was careful to not do anything bad. On a pretty bloody good lap until i suffered at the hands of the hay bales last turn. i didnt have enough time to cross the line so i was out.

R1, started 8th, did myself a ripper race and finished 4th, got a 7th for both R2 and R3, so i was very happy with that! actually keen to get into more of this series. only problem will be, on tuesday my gear will all be packed up till the 10th for the move to melbourne.

had a good time racing in 1st race i got 7th 2nd race 8th and 3rd race 11th but all good love the HQs.

Good fun night! I had some good battles with most of the field.

Race 1, lost it into the hay bales at T1, sort of stuffed that race but semi recovred to a 6th place finish.

Dudded myself in race 2 by spending too long in the pits changing all four tyres, but jagged a 2nd.

I then threw away a good result in the last race when I made an error chasing down Aus-Chris, then Fez passed me and I had a massive lose on the last lap whilst in 3rd place on Fez's hammer coming through the fast left hander under the Lukey bridge.

shame you ran wide as it was a good battle with you and fez all night, tried to do what corty did at wakefield and it somehow paid off with not pitting for tyres. very scary looping it around on the belts on the last lap with 2nd place gaining quickly

oh not too worry... internet was one of the first things sorted!!! haha

also, was just checking out the replays... sorry for start or race 2 there CD. i knew i gave you a tap into Dandenong which i apologise for, didnt realise that was probably the 14th time we had come together since the start!! haha sorry man. Otherwise some good racing all round, those hay bales bite hard... not sure what Stevo was doing in the pits, in out in out reversing back to his stop and the off and back??? afterwards tho he went straight into a wall and didnt look like he had a lot of control so im guessin there was something wrong.
