Re: TCL 2.5 Litre Trans Tasman Challange - Round 9 (30th November)
What damn good racing last night...
Race one I battled with Dave a little bit, then managed to keep Bilson from passing me before the chequered flag.
Race two I had a good start into third. I had a moment coming onto the start/finish straight on the second lap when I clipped the grass and fishtailed in front of Billy Bob. Due to my incredible driving skills I managed to get back into control, keeping it off the pit wall. I spent the majority of the race swapping positions with Bilson. It was fantastic fun! (Although I wonder if it was team tactics as I was initially catching Felden…)
It’s great when you can race side by side with someone knowing they will give you room yet still be defensive.

I also had a good night racing, and I think 2 5ths is about as good as I've done so far. As for team tactics, there is none of that shit around here! I pitted from the lead with about 7 laps to go, I came out with fresh soft tires for a short stint and pushed hard to catch 4th, which I did take around 5 seconds off Bersley but ran out of laps :-(
I also think you underestimate how much Bilson wanted that spot! Haha

Was a good battle, Growler! I knew I was slower that you, but I was also in front
I was trying to keep you behind me and make things difficult for you, but I tried not to overstep the mark. I actually started laughing when you came up beside me for the fourth or fifth time, so it wasn't in bad spirit and I hope it was cool.
I got to lead Race II for a lap or so! Again, it was by being hard to pass, but again, not in bad spirit so I hope I didn't make anyone cross with me! Eased up on it after a couple of laps, and people started going by. Had a good dive going into the hairpin, but overdid it a few times. Sorry to Corty in the early laps for carting you wide after I slid, Forbes for the "enthusiastic" dive, and Berlsy, and...
See you all at Lakeside !

Re: TCL 2.5 Litre Trans Tasman Challange - Round 9 (30th November)
I had internet issues for most of the night which is why for race 1 i sat on the starting grid for 8 seconds after the green lights while i waited for my game to configure. After that i found good pace and made my way back to 9th and i was trying to get Growler but i ran out of laps.
Race 2 i was second on the grid due to reversing the top 10. I was very careful on the first few laps due to my bad connection but after a while i started to race hard. I was in a great battle with Felden and Growler but then got a hit from behind and spun. After losing 8 seconds i tried my hardest hardest to catch back up, i got within 4 seconds of Growler and then pitted. Using my new tyres well i managed to jump him in his stop then after Felden pitted i was right up on his tail. Growler and i got into an epic scrap (probably one of the best battles i've had) and that gave Felden the chance to pull away. Good clean racing and it's great to be able to have so much trust in someone to allow such an intense battle.
I look forward to next race!
