Somewhere there is a post from Vandem, I can't find it again
But, don't take the Jag! I saw the sides of the Jag in Growler's hands last night more than any other portion of it
The Rover is great, I think in other hands it would be high mid pack. Kiwibrick has his Volvo brick working reliably and predictably too!
Growler's Rover setup is good, so don't rule it out.

Hopefully I can make this round too and give the brick another respectable outing.
Just need to sort a bracket for my pedals to lift them higher and fix my chair from rolling back so I don't get sore knees.

Yeah...I used the Bathurst setup as a starting point, but it wasn't good.Flattop wrote:Somewhere there is a post from Vandem, I can't find it again

In the opening laps of race 2 I could stay with Fez (M3) and Berlsy (Commodore), but the tyres overheated quite quickly.
The changes in the setup I'm doing make sense, but the tyres are still overheating. I can get good temps across the tyre, but I think the tyre is scrubbing too much.
I'm not too sure if its the actual tyre physics of the Jag or something isn't right in the setup.
We will see how Fuji goes.

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 3 (9th August)
the cars all have their good and bad points. the bad point for my car is that the R32 GTR is racing too.
last nights racing was awesome like the first race, good clean dicing with different cars in the mix.

Yes...that's the good thing about it. You have done a good job on the Jag and R32!

i didn't touch the jag luckily enough. only a euro skin for it. it took ages to sort out the r32 so that it was comparable with the sierra though so i'm happy its making for good racing.

Who is using LeoFFB + Realfeel?
I'm getting some weird oscillations on Fuji that I can't eliminate.
Was awesome on Bathurst, not quite as good at hungary and weird here at fuji, not sure whats going on.

When going in a straight line? I've never had any particular knack to setting up FFB well, but you can tone down the RealFeel mix and increase smoothing to tame it a little. As far as I know, however, it's just one of those things you have to put up with.

Yes in a straight line, but only on particular parts of the track, maybe it has something to do with the track itself

Yeah very hard to pick a good spot to hit the brakes !
Had a bit of practice last night, first time down the straight, I nearly hit the fence ! lol.
Each car will be different where to brake due to different top speed and brake performance.

Trying to join but can't see server - ini file has Concurrent Server Updates="999" - joined OK when I checked last week (while server was on Hungary) - any other ideas? Should it show under series = "Touring Car Legends"?
Edit, also tried IP address 103.12.10.165:34297 (found this in an announcement thread), no success.

Just search for this IP: 103.227.29.5:
That will find all TTR servers

I would have enjoyed this round, but my NBN installation has been a disaster and now my PC is no longer connected to the net!!!
Hopefully, it will be sorted soon and I can get back online.

OH NO !!
Bad luck David, are you converting to NBN now or was it a problem with an existing NBN line ?

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 3 (9th August)
Had some great laps in both races even if down the back of the field. Just couldn't get the Rover out of the corners to match others.
Had some moments under braking at turn one, either created by myself, Growler rocketing past and running out of landing strip! or bolts scaring me with similiar lockups in front of me.
A great track, and like others, loved the last turn, making up distance on some with a nice balanced power slide onto the straight.
Tyres turned to crap with about 5 minutes to go on the 40 minute race, see my rover chewing its way only the armco at times!
Looking forward to next week. Thanks again for great race, happy to see 16 on the grid, just can't understand why it the grid isn't maxed out, with this mod!

We converted from ADSL to Broadband, but NBN Co installed the Connection box in the lounge room instead of the study and I can't get my PC to connect via WiFi, so I will have to run a cable from the modem to the PC, 14 metres away.

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 3 (9th August)
Just couldn't seem to get the Volvo to be consistent over a longer run, plus I made silly mistakes every race.
Think I will switch back to running hards, softs/mediums don't seem to be cutting it, not overheating but get a weird feeling when up to temp and on longer runs for me, oh well...

Re: TCL Mid Winter Tour - Round 3 (9th August)
definately enjoyed both races. reversing the top drivers for the 2nd race was insane. created some good battles with Berlsy in the mix early with SUPA, Corty, Stevo, Mozza and Myself.
The hard front medium rear combo for the rs500 worked a treat and a few mistakes from SUPA allowed me to fight the skylines, and there wasn't much between the 2 R32 GTR's of Corty and SUPA and Myself most of the race.
Was an epic last lap fight with Corty too.
