Would be great to see you there David
I think they're 2015 skins ?
I don't think anyone has updated the skins for the ORSM mod as yet.
The latest cars & skins are in a different mod, the RSM COTF Supercars mod.
Was tossing up which mod to use for this and leaned towards the ORSM mod as most would already have that.
This may take a little while for the numbers to grow, so will wait and see.
If it doesn't, I may try another mod.

So unpack in straight into this directory:
/Gamedata/Vehicles/ORSM/V8Supercars13/Aust Community Skin Pack
It should want to overwrite a few folders and file, which is fine.

I jumped on for the first time in a while last Sunday, just myself Corty and Nuty, it was good fun! I haven't raced the V8's before but would be keen to jump on again this week for sure.

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
I'm glad I d/l this, it was good fun. Only 5 of us at a time, but still good racing at the front, from what I could see.
I was surprised by two things, 1. how forgiving the cars are, I thought they'd be animals and 2. how close I was to the pace. On some tracks I was only 4 or 5 seconds away from the leaders, don't laugh, that's good for me!
unfortunately, I managed to find the sand trap on the first lap of three of the four races I contested. These things are hopeless on cold tyres and I'm clearly a slow learner...

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
Was good to see a few more on last night.
Last week we had only 3 on, this week there was 6 and at one stage 7, but he was missing the skin pack.
Hopefully we get a couple more this Sunday and a couple more next and so on.
The more in the server the more fun to be had, especially after a few bourbons.... hahaha !!
Thanks to the guys that have showed up so far and hope you guys keep coming back for some Sunday fun !!
And yes David loves going to the beach apparently !
He spent most of the races in the sand... LOL

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
Another good night was missed by those who didn't show, but we had fun and there were some close races. The quick fire format is good too, it's great to run so many tracks in one night.
I haven't tried the Supercabs much before, but they are good fun, so much grunt and they keep you busy in the twisty stuff too!.

I've cut some laps in these and they're bloody good fun with an H-pattern! Just need to remember to actually turn up this Sunday, I forgot last week!
Also if anyone happens to be around tonight can we jump to a different track please?

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
Hi all
After 5 weeks of this Sunday Fun nights with the Supercars, there hasn't been many that have showed up and also it hasn't attracted anyone new. So for this reason I've decided to call it a day...
There's just no point running servers for 3, 4 or 5 people.
I started this just to see if we could attract anyone new and if it could slowly grow over time, but obviously I was wrong.
I could have given rF2 a go, but I really don't think it would of made a difference and I didn't want to tackle running rF2 servers on my own.
The way rF2 server have to be setup it absolute shit compared to rF1 (IMO).
Saying that, thank you to the ones that did show and a huge thanks to the ones that donated to keep the club going to this point !
TTR would never have gotten this far in the first place if it wasn't for you guys, so cheers
Also a big thanks to Growler for running Sunday nights for as long as he did.
So from this point there will be no servers up here and also the ttrracing.com site will be finishing up anytime now.
The forum its self will be still here, but the front page along with any pictures and downloads will no longer be up or available.
For me, I will look for a new home to race or just roam around when I feel like a race.
Lately I've been racing at http://jffracing.boards.net/
They're running the RSM supercars mod every 2nd Monday night and also have Friday fun nights.
Also been getting into Player Unknown's Battlegrounds on steam, so if any of you have the game and want to team up, then let me know
Hope to see you guys on the track somewhere

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
This is sad to read, but not surprising, you can't keep hosting a server if no one shows up to race.
I planned to run with you guys on Sunday night, but got home after 7 and still had more work to do in the shed. by the time I finished that and cooked and ate dinner, it was 9pm. I didn't bother logging on because I figured y'all would have given it away by then.

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
It’s a shame TTR has come to this. When I joined there was a good number of people competing, and the racing was fun.
Yes rFactor 1 is long in the tooth but it still provided good racing, and there were some great mods around like Historix, TCL, GT3 etc.
rFactor 2 was going to be the next big thing however the development was way too slow which allowed other sims like Assetto Corsa, iRacing etc to take over.
In saying this however, the new guys who have taken over the development have done some great things in such a short time. The DirectX 11 beta has transformed the sim in my opinion.
When setting up the cars any changes you make to the suspension etc actually have a noticeable difference.
You really need to start looking at rFactor 2 if TTR is to survive. I would hate to see TTR close down but if no one wants to turn up to race then there is no choice.
If it’s any consolation I’m back racing at KiwiSim Racing (KSR). We have just finished a short Clio league which was great fun!
The next league is going to be a modern BTCC/Touring Car league starting in a few weeks. Racing is usually a Tuesday night with a race start around 9.00pm NZ time. Once I know details I’ll post up here if anyone is interested.
Whatever happens is been a privilege to know you all, and damn good fun racing with you.

Unfortunately when I asked for someone to step up the start of last year to get rF2 off the ground here at TTR, no one did and I wasn't prepared or nor had the time at that stage to run it by myself.
As I've continually said, unless TTR has a dedicated team behind it, then it stands no chance these days.
I know no matter what, I'm done with TTR now, I think I've done all I can and I'm just over it now....
As Growler said, it have been a privilege racing with all the guys here at TTR and there's definitely been some awesome racing over the years.
I'm sure we will all cross paths again somewhere on track at some stage

Re: Sunday Supercar - Fun Nights
I enjoyed racing here over the years. Thanks to all the people who ran the place over the years.
I've been doing a bit of racing over at JFF across RF1 & 2 on Monday nights. The racing is pretty good and they get solid numbers.

Just as others have said, it's been a bloody good time here with you guys, so cheers to everyone for the good racing and cheeky yarns down the back straight
Hopefully I'll catch you all around and about at one time or another and we'll have some more good battles. Until then, take it easy, and thanks again.
