Re: Pre Adelaide
This format will be a taste of the race lengths for the upcoming TCL WTCC championship.
Please note this isn't the traditional Adelaide Clipsal we have used in the past... it is the new 2011 version completed a few weeks back

Re: Pre Adelaide
I tried a few laps last night.
I repeatedly put it into the wall in the couple of corners after the back straight. I lost my right front wheel first time round and did plenty of damage the other times.
So you need to respect the fact that there isn't much grip on that part of the track and the fact that the tyres aren't overly grippy either.
Should be interesting though.

Re: Pre Adelaide
Had a few runs at Adelaide just now.
The track is very laggy, the framerate is quite bad even after turning the graphic options way down.
I run Monaco alot and it is a very detailed track and runs 100% smooth at all times, which rules out a hardware issue on my part. Just saying.
Also, these big heavy cars are a nightmare to move around the tight track, so i suggest people get some practice in before the race, or prepare for carnage lol.

Re: Pre Adelaide
Ok so ive had a chance to get a little bit more practice in at Adelaide.
When i drive these '69 champions i think of Top Gear. When they all get their crap cars at the start of the show and say how much they hate them etc.
But by the end of their trip, they love the cars and think they are just awesome.
Same thing, these '69's are big, heavy, slow hunks of junk that slide at the first hint of reduced grip.
BUT THEY ARE GREAT TO DRIVE!!
Once, of course you have gotten used to them and figured out a decent setup. Yes they are a horror to handle around tight corners, but wrestling them around the circuit is part of the fun.
The best i have done is 1:40.xxx (on a PS3 remote keke). So i was fair happy with that. Not that lap times will decide the winner of tonights race. But the most consistent racer throughout the event.
Good luck to every one, and i apologize in advance if i wipe you out, whilst spinning around on a corner.
PS: What is the tolerance for cutting the first corner? Decided by the game? Or is there guidelines set by you guys?
I dont wanna hack it in half, by any means, but is there some leeway in there for fastest route?
