Interesting first round. With a couple revelations.
Qualified in first place for some reason. It must be the car. Wasn't really pushing it very hard and i beat Berlsy. Doesn't happen.
First Race. Got off to a great start and had a 2.5 second gap to 2nd placed Billy. On the 8th lap i rammed a concrete tyre wall and Billy got by me. Taken damage and was slowing me down. I pitted on Lap12 to fix damage and grab some new rubber. Which allowed Billy to get away. Up until then i was matching him very well and sticking close to him. He pitted soon after and came out 5 seconds ahead of me. But i just couldn't stay with him and he eventually pulled out a 13 second lead and took out the win.
Second Race. Got about 7 or 8 laps in and rammed the car into a wall. Race Over.
We had a third race when Webber showed up and this was the last nail in the coffin. I decided to split the fuel and run a little lighter and pit around lap10 for fuel and tyres. Got away cleanly and had around a 2 second gap to Berlsy for the first half of the race. He would get up to within about 1.3, but i managed to get away again. Just driving as smoothly as i could saving the quickly wearing tyres. I pitted around lap 12 and set off again.
Soon after, about 3 or so laps, i realised that Berlsy and Webber weren't going to pit at all. So i'm on fresh tyres, Webber's must be screwed by now, he is 28 seconds up the road. Surely i have to catch up to him. WRONG!! I drove as cleanly as i could putting in consistent laps and Webber was pulling away. He eventually crossed the line in 2nd place ahead of me by 33 seconds. When earlier in the race i was pulling out a gap on him. WHAT!? Am i missing something??

On a lighter note. This series is very good, the cars are fun to drive and makes for some good racing. I thin kEaster may have contributed to the lower numbers, so everyone get on next round, its a gonna be a nice series, and a good change from TCL.
Carry on.

Jumped on after both races finished. The Viper didn't seem to be much quicker in a straight line, definitely wasn't quick round the corners, and ate through its tyres like termites through my Queenslander.
Good fun though!!

didnt get to race, but these cars are fun, the gtr is so fast and changes direction in an instant, but uses its tyres after 2 laps.... got out a 1:13.7 in it!

Sorry I missed it fellas. I got home about 8, and felt crook after work. Went straight to bed.
Had the gtr running mid - low 15s on a full tank in praccy mid week though. See ya at the next one.

Good mod!... Tried out a few cars and settled on the corvette, I was surprised at how different they all felt but the vette suited the way i like to drive... and after so much TCL in the volvo i yearned the grumble of a proper V8.... soooo nice.
Leading up tp the race i quickly found i could punch out low to mid 1:16's for 10 to 15 laps quite comfortably... but if i pushed for 1:15's the tyres were shot in 3 laps so accuracy and smooth driving were all important, don't scrub the fronts or light up the rears.
25 min races were good, I think these cars need the endurance factor, maybe shorten one and extend the other to give a sprint race followed by longer run?
Hoping the numbers improve for the next round, Easter to blame i guess.

The series is based on a real series which runs max 2x50 minute races. Hence 2x25 minutes with 2xtyres/fuel.

DanGTSX came on after the races and decided to decimate my qualifying time with a best of 1:13.7.
This urged me and Webber on and we both got a fair way into the 14s. WD Dan.
Long Beach is next on the schedule, and it looks like we should get 8-10 drivers judging by who showed up later on.
Be there or be . . . . . Shano, wishing is was another TCL round.
