Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
I like it, flows really well and there's heaps of room for passing and stuff.
Should be a good race. Sierra's are already killin times though so get practicing!!

Did a little bit of offline practice before managed to take just under a second off my best lap, still about 2 seconds of the Sierra. Fuel is looking like a problem over the 20 laps in the Skyline so I would advise checking consumption during practice.

Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
Hm, i doubt i will be here for this round. Out of town on Sunday, hopefully i can get back in time. GRR!!
Been fumbling around all week with the skyline here. Then Mozza told me to slow down.
And i went faster. 29.3. .. . still two seconds of the Sierras. But there's no catching them cars. So not too worried abt that.
Good Luck on sunday if i dont make it. Esp to TeamSkyline.

I believe the phrase was "stop driving like a muppet and slow the Fk down" lol.
In other news, I finally managed to drag a 29 out of the merc. A better driver could probably smash a high 28 in it I reckon.

CPS ensures a Sierra win, where as No CPS the sierra short shift all race or pit (& probably still come out with the win)

Def dropping a class for next TCL series after VolvoVSCommo.
Chasing Sierras is getting old. Don't have to worry abt em when you're in an M3.

Sorry Wally, I usually agree with your decisions, but I dont agree this time. No point in running a smaller car if we get penalised because we get better economy.

Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
Just did the practice in the merc great car there. Had a ball wish I could make it tonight but I think I'd be shot if I did. The merc could also make it with out a stop but would have to short shift a couple of laps. Tyre wise barely got the mediums hot running them the whole 20 laps without changing them to try and gain on the stop and didn't loose a single green dot.

will you be saying that when zilla is relesed??
and if i not mistaken didnt grpc win races in the m3 shayn??? so the chasing sierras rubbish is just dumb.. look at bersley in vl he all over sierras in race...
and remember you chose 1 at start of series and then decided they had to much puff to drive so went back to skyline??

Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
Ok maybe I put it wrong. Its just cos I'm not good enough to be chasing the likes of Webber GrpC etc to justify being in a faster car. And yes some guys can challenge the front in the smaller cars but I know I can't, so why should I use a faster car when I can't do it down a class.
I should have stayed in the M3 and battled for middle spots for longer instead of stepping into the skyline and expecting to do better.
I think id rather be fighting in the middle than chasing the ultra fast guys at the front to no avail.
And as for the when the R32 comes out there's no way I will be picking that either cos I just don't think my skill/consistency level is good enough to warrant me driving it.

Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
I'm running fully fueled... 100L. If you wanna DQ me post race, do it, but I'm 2 seconds a lap off the pace in race trim. The small cars have to get an advantage SOMEWHERE don't we?
Guest- Guest
Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
na shayn ya shouldnt think like that cuz.... ya know ya can run the pace as proved in other mods... but ya be knockin on sierras doors this race as im strugglin so next race be worst for me lol....
i gonna have to agree wit mozza here... if i have to pit and merc goes by and we have to chase the smaller car down again well yeah mint... but if he can make it well yeah....
but as corty said short shift sierra and plod along and it makes it too and still at front so i dunno

Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
Mozza I agree with you with the stops as we run high run high damage tyres and fuel set high to try and simulate the real thing.
Normally in v8 's for example the cps had been good but recently we have found trying to achieve anount of laps where people that look after there tyres can make the distance with one stop while the speed Deamons are having stop a extra time are being challenged with the chase back down and it has pulled the top 5-7 guys upto the top 5 guys by the end of the race.
Saying all this I don't think the message above is the way to tackle the Your problem. I know Wally is flat out this afternoon and more than likely hasn't read your post at 1245. Pm him with your concerns explaining your reasons but give him some time to get back to you

Well, why not just throw an extra 250kg in the merc and completely rule it out of all events for the future too????

But I do believe all this should have been made clear before the championship started, as before any championship is started. Rules shouldnt be brought in mid champioship.
Every round,
Number of Laps,
CPS's in what races,
ect, ect
My .02c worth anyway

Re: Pre ATCC Hamilton
I am quite happy to change server for anyone wishing to take over and of course assist with the points on the series currently running which is ATCC and the one remaining round of dtm87. After that I will continue to help with server but any new series will either have to speak to Benny about SLS or use one of the league manager systems. First jobs will be to find a suitable weekend for Hamilton and the remaining DTM87 Round.
Am looking forward to concentrating on Thursday nights with some mods and series that should create good competition
