Re: Current F1 series
We're going back to where we were about 2 months ago where Thursdays ended up with 3 or 4 series being run and no one knowing quite what was up for that week.
I reckon leave it with one series at a time.

Fair call thats why I'm just putting the "Idea" out there nothing has been finalised...
either people want to run or they dont If there is interest in F1's then I'll look at it then thats why it is open for discussion no series is set in concrete but with the interest for the zonda's low atm thought I'd throw some idea's around to see if we could get the numbers.
There is certainly not 3-4 series running at once and everything has been given plenty of notice to respond.
without feedback from the members ie prefered cars and tracks to run weather thursdays suite it's hard to get a clear level of interest.
so you only try to do your best.
cheers..

Re: Current F1 series
I'd love to race in a current F1 series, but agree with mozza that it would be better to have a one off series all at once rather than following the real F1s over the entire year.

Polll updated in new thread.
I like that idea too it's much easier to practice and the like, just was trying to cater for those that wont run the F1's but would like to race thursday.
I have put it to the people..

Re: Current F1 series
I'd be keen on an f1 series, real keen. That's a yes vote from me. Prolly would be easier to do week by week instead of following the series could possibly fit some of the early tracks that we've already missed out on. Plus won't be as long of a wait between races for those that are itching to drive them again. What f1 mod were you thinking of running? Current or earlier series?
Maybe do less races on the night but longer races. Or somewhat imitate the f1 format. I need to practice pit strategy. Plus gives us slower/inexperienced guys a bit of a fighting chance when mistakes are made. Hehe. I've been hoping an open wheel series would start, keen for some tire to tire racing.
Just throwing some ideas out there.
Whatever the out come I'll race it.

Re: Current F1 series
You know I'm keen on F1. Just an idea here!!
When I ran my first Tuesday night series, it was an older version of the PCC, I scheduled 3 F1 tracks in the calendar to coincide with the actual f1 events.
That went down quite well as far as I remember.
I might do that again soon.
Also having an all at once series for f1 you can pick the best tracks rather have to stick with what's running, some of the new ones are decidedly crap.

Re: Current F1 series
at this stage looking like it def is going to be an all in one series, The thought of running it at the same time was only there to offer something on the off weeks to those that dont like OW..
However what you are doing on tuesdays is awesome and if I offer up OW on thursday's (for now maybe not allways) then there maybe a better balance between the nights... allthough some dont like OW there are some that do alot and if there is enough cars on the track to have fun then great.
I agree with the choice on tracks especially now they dont run at Turkey.. one of the best tracks it would def have to be added in.
webber has been helping me a bit and I guess the key is getting it as competative and a user freindly as possible so people dont have to spend countless hours prac..
and those that arent that keen can maybe still jump in from time to time cause they enjoy the track... There was even some thought on fixed setups and pre determined tire choice..
track list that comes to mind (and only a short list feel free to add delete tracks)
Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Melbourne - Australia)
Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia)
Turkish Formula 1 Grand Prix (Istanbul - Turkey)
Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Montreal - Canada)
British Formula 1 Grand Prix (Silverstone - Great Britain)
Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Budapest - Hungary)
Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Spa-Francorchamps - Belgium)
Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Monza - Italy)
Japanese Formula 1 Grand Prix (Suzuka - Japan)
Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix (Sao Paulo - Brazil)
France, Germany (either) & Bahrain are another that comes to mind too.
