TCL vs V8 Supercars - Winton Test
I have setup a server to test for another possible race in the future at winton this time.
IT is on the home server so you might need to up you Concurrent Server Updates from 400 to 5000 makes it alot easier to find.
To do this go to rfactor\UserData\TTR Benny\multiplayer.ini look for the line Concurrent Server Updates="400"
Change it to Concurrent Server Updates="5000"
This will enable it to search for more servers each time

Checked Previous Results with V8's At Winton Last Year I had a pole time of 1m20.989 and best lap in race of 1m20.930
This was a previous version of the mod they made the tyres a litle less grippy since then But gives us a starting guide

In the interest of historical accuracy, I suggest the TCL cars use the short circuit, as they did back in the day and the V8SC use the long track, which was created especially for them................................

Benny i'll rip some laps in the Sierra & M3 tonight... M3 was mega around here when we ran ATCC so the parity between them i'd say are already perfect... Add Mozz in the german tank, throw in a few Cockrane Super Taxi's and it'll be a ripper race...
Will update you tonight with lap times...

did some laps in the vl, the commo really doesn't like this track best was 1:27.7. think race pace would be high 28,s to low 29,s.

I cut some laps with Bersly tonight Benny... Tyres really go off here after about 4-5laps in any TCL car...
Sierra i did a best of 1:25.7 , i could run mid to high 26's for a few laps before falling straight into the 27's after 5 laps.
M3 i did a best of 1:26.9, i could run mid to high 27's for a few laps before falling off to low 28's
M3 EVO i did a best of 1:26.1, low 27's were consistent until tyres go off and its into the 28's ... This car i haven't yet found a sweet spot with, not sure if its the extra grunt its got but it heats up the rear tyres really quick & no matter what i did i couldn't get even tyre temp on this car

Thanks Guys I'll cut some laps maybe tomorrow night as well. I'll also drop the tyre wear back to 3 x and we can see what the tyre life is like then for you guys

I'll try and get on tomorrow night with the Merc and if I get a chance I'll put the Skyline through its paces. Not expecting miracles though! LOL

I really like this series V8's Vs TCL lets do more of this series.......maybe once a week.....we should do some of the tracks that FDG have made... they have some real cool tracks....ie collision tracks 4 of them and there are some street circuits too.
ATM I can.... if going real fast with 30kg added in the V8 Supercars get a 1.19 at winton im sure with 250kg added it will slow me down by about 5 seconds

Re: TCL vs V8 Supercars - Winton Test
Did some testing with the weight last night. With the weight my best lap was in the 22's but dropped off pretty quickly due to the tyre wear.
I then tested hard tyres using the 2010 cars and I was consistently in the 24's I can get between 9 - 10 laps depending on how hard I push the fuel
Mozza had a run in the Skyline and the merc. In the skyline I could barely make it past in the two longer straight line runs (if he had of been in the sierra I don't think I would have got past very easily at all). When we has in the merc he really didn't hold me up at all through the middle sector and once again without the two longer straights would be difficult to get past.
Mozza and I both agreed without testing yet that the shorter club version of the track would be close but possibly too close with the amount of stops we would need to complete.
At sandown we had enough straight line speed to not be held up very long just had to weight to the the straights. I'm concerned with this track as it is very difficult to get through that there will be some incidents.
I think that the club track is worth the test and see if we can get the times closer enough for an outright race by giving more fuel to the by reducing the Fuel to x 2 but meaning you really have to look after tyres to get through the petrol stint which should slow the v8's down a heap
