Good mix again this one, will be a bit like Wanaroo I reckon. Was very close in the TCL cars fairly recently, so will be interesting to see.

Did a couple laps last night, I like it more than Wanaroo, hopefully the Capri is wide enough to keep the 320 behind it!

Haha I hope we're both wide enough to keep that M1 behind us!

An interesting comparison.
Obbzy's best time in the 320 on liveracers about matches the best times recorded in the recent V8 unleashed Aus vs NZ events.
I would guess the 320s are going to be tough to beat, although I haven't seen times from the likes of the Capri or the M1 yet.

Did some testing last night with wanneroo set-up, closed up the gear ratios slightly and did a 1:07. I really like these cars.

The 320 is too underpowered to be a threat in this series. 1:03 is o.k. but I reckon Mozza will get a 1:01 or there abouts. The M1, Capri, Porsche should be 1:00's or 1:01's too, maybe even a 59 if they smash a lap. The 320 has the advantage of being able to keep its tyres longer, so makes for
and interesting race. Catch yas Tuesday.

I definitely think a sub 1min lap is possible, in the Capri at least, on a real flyer

The 320 will be great at places like gold coast & wellington.
Anywhere there is a long straight... Calder, Sandown, Oran Park (?)
it'll struggle to match. It's fantastic on corners though!

Re: Manfield New Zealand Grand Prix
Bummer Obbzy.
We had a pretty good night, I kept having little spins myself which just hurts too much time wise.
I did have some good battles with peter308 in the 320. The highlight of my night being an inside pass on the last corner of the last lap to take the position.
But had gotten the better of me in the previous race. Cheers Pete.
Oran park next week so hopefully that gives the 320 a good sniff. Mozza did extremely well last night for the 320 gang, at least 2 wins from memory.

Re: Manfield New Zealand Grand Prix
Yeah he smoked us in all three races, he was on fire!
I had a pretty average night myself, a lonely 4th in race 1, a lucky 4th in race 2 after spinning into the wall off the start and losing half a lap, and a 3rd in the last race after shano decided to crash the porker.
Was a pretty frustrating night for me overall, after a decent qualy in 3rd I seemed to have no race pace for some reason, I was struggling for traction coming out of the slow corners all race and that was losing me massive amounts of time to the 3 in front, coupled with atrocious starts as well (I really need a clutch pedal).
Ah well still had some good fun giving and taking shit

Bummer dude. There's a good chance we'll do some more DRM after this series is over depending on the mood of the tuesday night regulars.
It will likely be on international tracks though rather than local.
I'll be putting up a poll soon to see what we want to do.

Re: Manfield New Zealand Grand Prix
Cheers Kiwibrick... Your a legend mate!!
What a great nights racing that was lastnight. M1 had great pace but i never felt comfy underbrakes... Kept locking rears which was all my driving error, Mozz & Shano applied massive pressure that i cracked under!
Mozza was on fire in the 320... WD Mozz... Unstoppable last night!!
Also for me Shano had a breakout race meeting in the Porsche... Massive pace there bro in the Martini machine & you kept me n Mozz honest over the 3 races!!
Looking forward to the next round which i think is Oran... Could be another 320 track. Time will tell who'll be up the front at that one, i'm expecting Kiwibrick to bounce back at Oran and be strong in the Capri.

I've still got a couple more things to try out on my wheel settings wise to get more comfortable.

Wow. Well Done Mozza.
Didn't think the 320 would be able to keep up with
the 'gun' cars, but you whipped 'em. Nice work.

Re: Manfield New Zealand Grand Prix
Yeh was an interesting nights racing.
I kinda hoped the 320 would have a better chance here than Melbourne as the straights are no where near as long.
Kinda managed to get a few laps together monday night, but not alot, struggled tryin to get consistent laps.
Last night it all just sorta came together. GroupC put the M1 on pole, think I was in P2, kiwi and big gay shano on the 2nd row.
Race 1, didnt think I'd get past GroupC, same old story as TCL, faster round the corners but cant get him in a straight line... So just tried to put some pressure on and he spun at T1, and I just managed to get around the outside without hitting him.
Race 2, think I made a mistake early on again and GroupC went through but a couple of laps later it was a copy cat spin at T1 and me going around the outside... Managed to keep a gap to shano and GroupC to win.
Race 3, dont think I made any mistakes and led start to finish.
Was some good racing though, and good to see Pete come in and join us too!
See ya's at Oran hopefully!

Re: Manfield New Zealand Grand Prix
Missed qually because i was eating dinner and watching Dr. Who, didn't matter, my best practice time was 1:07, 3s slower than anybody else.
Race 1 was a debacle, couldn't get near my practice time and spun more times than i can count, got lapped by the whole field, several times.
Race 2 was better, got down to 1:06 and spun less often, but still frequently, still got lapped by everyone.
Race 3 I really tried to concentrate on being neat & tidy instead of trying to be fast. Went for lap after lap without spinning and banged out a couple of 1:05s. Didn't get lapped until very late in the race and only by the top 3. Really happy with that effort.
