Pre Rd12 - Gold Coast Street Circuit - October 21

So after Bathurst its on to the streets of the Gold Coast for the next round of the series.

The race format is;

Race 1 - 34 laps
Race 2 - 34 laps (Wet Version)

Tyre wear - x3
Fuel usage - x3

Qualifying - 7.30pm AEDT (20min session)

Championship points as of Rd11 at Bathurst;

* I'm at a wedding on Sunday, so won't be able to run it. I may be able to make it to Race 2 though depending on how it goes


To get us into the spirit, here's a Group A race from the old Surfers Paradise

Server is up guys Might have to get racer69 to check the weather but heard that there was a chance for rain on the goldcoast on the weekend

Fark that. The wet track is crap!

Seeing that im new here, and i previously didnt have track i just downloaded both version that were in the side bar. getting "Goldcoast.rar" and FVRGoldcoast wet and dry"

which one works astro? i just tried jumping in but my version had something wrong with it

A couple of Issue so if you already have a folder in the FVRTracks folder called goldcoast see the read me in the download

Also if you get sky error just delete the file in the fvrtracks folder

Copy the bat file to your locations folder and run
*******Remove goldcoast.bat******

Run this file it will remove your previous FVR Goldcoast track open your FVRtracks folder and make sure Goldcoast is not there

Then only once you have checked it is gone copy the GameData folder to ou rfactor install replacing all files

I personally Like the Wet track the Grip isn't a huge difference and I know you can't see much but really that is the point of racing in the rain

i dont mind the short track, few less chances to spear into the wall.

Is the old Surfers track available?

Is it okay if i join you guys again if i can make it? I loved the race on Sunday and am eager to drive again. Might pick a different car though.

Never raced a common whore. Should be hilarious in the wet.

The grip levels aren't hugely different shayn. More just the spray, which if you're midpack, makes driving impossible.

Be good to see you though, good to get a run after all the effort you put in for Bathurst.

I like the wet tracks. Should be good fun.

Try the track first, then judge fun level.

I would say yes, keep the driving standards uniform across all nights i think is best

reverse grid might make the lead cars a little more patient

Just scored a free ticket to the real race, might struggle to get home in time for our virtual race.

I'd also be keen to have another run after my first race last week, if that's alright. Although at this stage I'm not 100% sure I can make it.

I have never driven this track until now. I have done about 10 laps and its an OK track...in the dry. Will be carnage in the wet!

Is vehicle booking required? Mustang was a poor choice lol

I won't be able to make it this time but I'll catch you all at the next race.

We filled the 20 slot so switched to the 26 now we have filled that so uploading track to the 40 slot should be ready to switch in 10 to 15 mins
