Had some pretty decent hard close racing last night in both races, DV_8's commo was bloody hard to pass, he had a train of 4 or 5 behind him for quite a few laps at the start of the second race!

Interesting track, a couple decent places to do nice big powerslides, I will look though the replays as there should be a good shot of growler and myself doing massive slides one after the other onto the main straight.

It was an interesting race last night.
I had never driven on this track before until last night and had no time for practise etc either.
I used my setup from Brazil as it was fairly stable, but wasn’t fine-tuned for this track.
During practise I did a couple of stunt jumps over Webbers parked Commodore. If I still have the reply I will get a screenshot!

Race 1
I had an OK start. I had some good battles for the first few laps but it all went downhill from there. Although I was running very hards on the rear, they still went off.
I parked the car just over half distance because I kept losing it, and my shoulder was aching a little.

Race 2
This was much better. Being a reverse grid I started on pole next to Warpig. Unfortunately he won the drag race to the first corner.
I managed to pass him but Billy Bob caught and passed me. I managed to keep him in site for about the first third of the race but was losing grip rapidly. Spinning off onto the grass after clipping a curb put me towards the rear. On the last few laps my rears were stuffed (Although still showing green?) so just cruised around to finish.

I ran very hards all round on the volvo, my usual hards just felt too greasy on this track.
Even with the very hards I found if you pushed them hard for a few laps the rears seemed to heat up and get greasy, but if you layed off them a bit they came back.

Had a blast last night, was a little slow in the first race and could not find away past DV8, nearly got him on the last corner of the last lap but spun out.
Race 2 of the front row, beat growler into the first turn and actually lead a lap, till the fast guys got past. Had a few good battles mid pack to get a fourth place finish. Will defiantly be back next week for another blat.

I thought we could only use about this much curbing, as opposed to putting 4 wheels over it.

You're probably right DV8, in which case I'll cop a penalty since I was using the "inside" curb thingos.

Shame Corty didn't get much praccy then dropped out in race 1, I was looking forward to an epic race around this tight track. as for the commodore, got the jump in race 1 and it was at a real advantage because I could balance the tyre wear by turning it with the throttle, rather than leaning on the front right. Which meant even tyre wear front to rear and better balance throughout the race.

Race 2 was AWESOME. I held back at first to let everyone sort themselves out without getting in the way, and to save the right side tyres for a charge to the finish. Arrogantly thinking I'd be able to catch a small 13 second gap to Billy Bob up, I gave myself 10 laps to do it.
Nope.
If Bob had made a single mistake in those 10 laps, or driven any less than 110%, I would've gotten past him. But he must've nailed almost every corner in the Vulva. Even in the closing laps when I was right behind him -- I know what the pressure feels like from Corty charging through late in races -- he kept it under control.

Very impressive and a well deserved win from Bob, the practice paid off.

Didnt manage to get much practice before the race, dont seem to get much time for it at the momment

On top of that im having a bit of trouble racing at the moment as my sciatic nerve is playing up something shocking, to the point where I cant even dress my self.
So when I dropped out the other night that was enough to call it quits for the night as was in loads of pain, so yeah didnt come back for the second race.

If this doesnt start getting better soon I might need to cut back on racing or even give it a break for a while, after doing a race I cant get out of my simulater.
I have to try sort of fall out and roll on the floor, then try lift myself up, lol.
