NAGT Round 5 - Road America Enduro 26th March

DUE TO THE ISSUES OF LAST WEEK THIS IS GOING TO BE RERUN NEXT TUESDAY 2nd APRIL

The first of the endurance rounds!
Note: There has been a last minute track change around. It was going to be Mid Ohio but decided to swap this with Road America

Qualifying
Qual starts at 8.00pm TTR time.
This will be a 10 minute session. You are allowed 4 laps in total. 1 out lap, 2 hot laps and 1 warm down lap only.
If everyone does their two qual laps within the 10 minutes we will roll to warm-up earlier.

Race
The race is an endurance round with a time of 75 minutes long
There is a minimum of 1compulsory pit stop where all 4 tires must be changed

Cant get teamspeak to work, cant find the server using the ip provided. Any ideas?

Did you use the password?

Figured it out by asking in game. The ip address on the rules section is incorrect

DV-8.
1) You need to download NAGT 1.6.1 in full (There is no patch to go from 1.6 to 1.6.1).
2) Download the small RX-8 sound patch
3) Race!

I was just going to have a one off go and I thought I had the correct version from while ago. I thought there may be a small patch but as you point out there isn't. Would have taken too long to download and install.

Well that sucked..1st lap and pull the phones jack out...no engine sound...no way...

Shortest enduro I ever had...sigh

Well that was a comedy of errors.
We had issues with qualifying and started the race much later than I wanted to.
I had a crap start because the grid wasn't right and I was checking things when the lights went green, Sulley had issues with sound, teamspeak went to pieces for about 10 minutes (It was all crackly etc and you couldn't hear people clearly), and a couple of people had PC lockups. We ran the race but only 5 people finished.

Now because of this I'm more than happy to re-run this round next week. Killer has given me a link to another version of the track which I think is far superior than the one on the server. (http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=17474).

I will leave this decision up to you guys however. Try the track and let me know what you want to do. If I get 5 or more people who say yes to a re-run using the better version of the track, we will re-run it.
If I don't see anything by Saturday night I will update the points and continue with the next round (Mid Ohio).

should just put a bathurst server up and practice for that! show those hardcore drivers how to do it!

Ummm...nooooo. Hardcore already have a server up don't they?
Personally I'm keen to run Road Atlanta again. The track Killer sent me was a lot easier to drive than last nights version. For one the grass wasn't like ice!

Im happy if everyone else is to have another go with the other version of this track.
It will give the guys that dropped out another go at it.

What the go with hardcore ?
are they running these at Bathurst ?
Can someone PM me the details for this please, if I get time I may show ?
Also is there a password on the server ?

theyve been running an endurance series in these on sunday arvos and the races finish just in time for the tcl races on here

Not tried new track yet, but happy to have another go next week

thay changed it once weeks and weeks ago.
why, because daytona road course was spose to the first, we did it and lots of pep's timed-out, so it got pushed back to the end of the schedule.

and since there is a lot of grip on the grass now every-one will be cutting corners which is silly

Yes - re track...but won't happen until Sunday.
And no one cuts corners. Everyone knows the rule that 2 wheels must be on the track at all times.
And when I mean the grass being like ice, my rear wheel could just touch the grass and it would spin the car...and that's going in a straight line!

Track will be available to download from TTR soon...

there's usually about 10-12 peps
someone from hardcore should come over here and make there own post about hardcore stuff instead of us talking about it in the wrong area/forum/page

Mine can....

Easy to loose traction when under full power on the hump under the banner, especially in the low slung high power cars

where were you yesterday arvo sulley? missed a great 2hr race at the mountain in these! good work on growler getting 3rd, little buzz box of mine lasted the distance unlike another rx8 that let go, but just behind growler in 4th. night time was intense as the cutting was soooo dark even with the lights on.

was a great race two hour of hell in the dark, I was neck and neck with standam over the finishline....but I managed to get past him just (by a bummper-bar)

Unfortunatly i got disconnected just after Sulley left the game..not sure if its a coincidence or linked?

Was having fun but was driving abit poorly tonight, making too many silly little errors which due to a pitstop dropped me back early on in the race, was hoping to make some time over the 1hr distance though

Well…we finally got that race over and done with.
After issues with qualifying (Everyone got a DQ after they pitted in) we were underway. The two Volvos of Corty and Sulley came together at turn 1. Corty managed to keep going but Sulley got stuck in the kitty litter.
Aus-Chris managed to catch me and apply some pressure but I managed to slowly pull away again. I did have one moment where I went wide and spun, and Sulley and Chris went past. About a third into the race Racer69 and Sulley disconnected which left only 5 drivers remaining.After that it was a lonely race as we were all spread around the track.
Bring on Mid Ohio!

The points have been updated and it is close for 3rd and 4th

Frustrations abound but fun..

Lap 1 bottom of the hill arrived at a cloud of smoke and no idea how many were there, so went left and then stuck in the sand..sigh

Didnt agree to restart as only one car affected in any big way, besides then had the challenge of chasing down the positions I lost, which I did only to disco before first stop.

Still the most fun I've had in recent months..cya next week
