Track is up
I did ask if someone else could put this track up, but no one had got to it ?
Ive also put the remaining tracks for the series on the server, so we dont have this again.

Re: Round 11 - Nogaro (November 3)
I hope everyone's Race 2 ended up well, i was having a great dice with the likes of DV8, Sleek and Fez until i got the dreaded "connection lost", shame...
Sorry for the trouble with the circuit, very sorry, the last 3 tracks (Zolder, Jarama and Estoril) have all been used in previous TTR series though so i don't think we'll see a repeat of the little bugs that crept up with Nogaro tonight.

Re: Round 11 - Nogaro (November 3)
Good fun night, although I felt my Volvo was not well suited to this track at all.
Qual was close, I got 7th only 0.6 off pole which was reasonable.
Race 1, had a top battle with Fez, Racer69, Corty, DV8 & Sleek, it was on for young and old. Tapped Racer69 in the middle of T1&2 so waited for him to sort it out and DV8 slipped by, but it was a terrific race, very fair and close racing.
Race 2, I slipped back a bit because of my tyre strategy (vHard/Hard) and also because of a few flying black Mercedes (there were so many of them I couldn't keep track), so I got the head down and cut some consistent laps. I probably went too long with my first stint as the tyres started going away, then I made my one big mistake for the night and overshot the pit entry and had to reverse (amazingly didn't get DQ'ed), so probably lost a good 5-10 seconds there.
I was kicking myself because I was hoping to undercut Fez and DV8. Anyway, ran some good laps after my stop, caught CortyGT who was struggling for rubber and managed to pass him, then got caught up with the #42 Volvo whilst lapping him and lost some time there.
Anyway, ended up 7th, just under 3 seconds behind DV8 and 11 seconnds behind Fez. Congrats to Fez who was the leading Volvo on the night, he drove really well, as did DV in the Merc. GroupC was just in another league last night, really top notch driving and gave us all a thrashing!!
I'm looking forward to Zolder, a bit more open and less mickey mouse than Nogaro.

Yes - there were a few pushy Black Mercedes at the start of race 2...Chris Donnelly wrote:Race 2, I slipped back a bit because of my tyre strategy (vHard/Hard) and also because of a few flying black Mercedes (there were so many of them I couldn't keep track),

Re: Round 11 - Nogaro (November 3)
After missing qualifying, I enjoyed coming through the field in race 1 to finish 5th.
Went for harder than planned tyres in race 2 and I struggled for pace. I think I ended up 6th but it was probably my worst drive of the season.

What a track!!
Had a lot of fun on this one and before going online i thought that i would be a bit closer to the front runners after doing about a lot laps and a lot of set up work, with my best time offline being a 1:43.761. Something i got to close to with a 43.815 in qualy and again on the second lap of the race with my fastest lap of the weekend being a 1:43.183, only problem was... there were guys dropping in 1:39's!! haha
But, was very impressive to see so many of you so close up the front!
After a few Race 1 restarts (including one tap across the back of Chris Donnelly which Fez got blamed for, sorry man on both accounts!! haha) race seemed ok, did my thing and managed a 9th place which i was wrapped with!
Race 2 i got a good start, but, into turn 2, i was running out of room, went to tap the brake to back out of it, only to make the biggest rookie error of my race, sticking in the clutch instead, instantly lighting the rear wheels and spun me. So, i set off from the back, and just went to my own pace. went off here and there but was relatively happy overall with my own performance, even if my strategy was somewhat hampered by some back markers a couple of laps down.
A few laps later and i found myself in a bit of a battle with grunter, both making our mistakes (some forced by said backmarkers) but all in all was a bit of fun to see how it would pan out being faster in different parts of the track. but i had to stop again due to lack of fuel and that was that.
bring on Zolder! hopefully without back of pack crusaders.
