Game Stock Car 2013

Anyone, have you had a look at the "Game Stock Car 2013" Game ?

Looks good to me, I think RF2 still has some work to be done       and I think there is a few that would agree   

There are a few mods out there for GSC 2013 including V8 Supercars and Aussie tracks.

I thought you had to purchase this one?

You get an hour of play then you have to purchase it.
Ive downloaded it, had a go and im pretty impressed   

Its pretty much the same as Rfactor, but everything is better.
You can set the wheel & FFB the same way as you have it in RFactor, which is a big plus for me.
In RF2, I cant seem to get the FFB set the way I want it and the rear is like its on ice.

I really haven't enjoyed playing RF2 yet and all the issues I think RF2 has, Inside Sim Racing confirms it. 
Where as GSC 2013 I was able to set everything the way I want and everything felt right.

After the hour trial it costs $33.89 to buy the game, well worth it I think

Once installed you will need to run the GSC Sync.exe file to update to v1.15

i quite enjoy rf2 with the tcr mod but all other categories are a bit rubbish

Had a go at converting a Mod from RFactor to Game Stock Car today & much to my surprise, it was quite easy.
I just did it for my personal use as I haven't asked for any permissions   

Also the tracks look just as easy to convert as well   

The mod that was converted looks bloody awesome   

Its going to be interesting to see what platform all the clubs are going to lean towards ?
A few other clubs are running Game Stock Car and a few running RFactor 2, but Rfactor 1 is still the main sim at all clubs.
Looks like XFactor Racing has gone fully over to RFactor 2 ?

When will everyone make the move and let RFactor 1 lay to rest ?
Don't get me wrong RFactor is still a great game, but when do we move on ?

rFactor will be around for some time yet.
I think with the new sims coming out, most of the clubs will be divided by rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
For example the Hstorix team are probably looking to go to Assetto Corsa, where as Apex Modding are going with rFactor2. People are making tracks and mods for both as we speak.
I will still run rFactor 1 because of the many mods and tracks, plus the emmersion and feedback it gives me.
Unfortunately rF2 or Assetto don't give me that just yet, however both are still betas.

true that corty, been on rf1 for ages now and for playability and imersion its still right up there. it definately lacks behind in a few areas like wet weather to rf2 and awesome graphics like asetto but not everything is about graphics and thats what game developers have to get in their heads. some of the best online games over the years have had very average graphics but it was very easilly modable to what the gamers wanted eg. viet cong, counterstrike, grandprix2, rf1 and the list goes on.

i say stick with the older games and do one off races on newer platforms and see where the majority go. need to see what sim the core group of ttr racers have and the spec of their pc's, budgets and then make a call.

I did take some with the graphics turned up all the way on both, but for some reason it doesn't show in the Pics ?

The graphics in Game Stock Car are a little better though.

I had a go at converting some tracks the other day, some worked and some didn't, but there are ways to get them to work.

most have rf2 so i think it'll be the one easiest to get everyone into, when v8 unleashed comes out of rf2, should start doing championships on that while still hosting some races on rf1 platform

Yeah once there is a decent V8 Supercar mod on RF2, most of the Aussie community will cross.
