Next league for Sunday Night
Next League for Sunday Night
I was looking to run another GT3 league using American tracks, but during the discussions of last night, someone mentioned running TCL...so I thought I would put a poll up to see what you guys wanted...
Please chose one option. I will let this run for 10 days.

I did try a similar mod some time ago and it was crap. I hope this isn't the same thing...

I helped on this one for a while, during which time it went from crap to ordinary. I think they might have done more work since then, so it might be quite good now. I love Super touring and think it would be good for online racing.

Mr Patterson....why aren't you racing the GT3's with us?
And we would have to test the Touring Car mod first...

Re: Next League for Sunday Night
My vote goes to TCL atm, saying that would like to look at the BTCC mod.
Either that or I'm always keen for the V8 Supercars.
Not keen at all to run in another GT3 series, especially since the next Thursday night league is GT3's.

Re: Next League for Sunday Night
OK...I gave the BTCC a quick go and I'm still not impressed. I wanted to like this mod but the characteristics of the cars don't seem natural.
It seems like the front wheel drive cars suffer from major torque-steer, and the BMW swaps ends like there's no tomorrow.
The FWD cars don't turn in at all, and as you power out of a corner it just wants to go in a straight line.
Now I have never raced a FWD car in real life (Always rear wheel for me!) but I'm sure they would handle better than this.
Has anyone else had a go?
This is how they should handle...

I did notice all the cars have the same weight and power ?
Should it really be like that ? does that mean all the cars have the same specs ?

Re: Next League for Sunday Night
its ok, just tried the rx8 around imola with a heap of ai cars and it went well, heaps of grip and loads of cars to choose from. looks like all cars are fairly even. rx8 could sound better

Re: Next League for Sunday Night
Yeah...I have now tried the ITCC mod and I have mixed feelings about it.
Pros:
Lots of cars to choose from!
Cars seem fairly even.
Would promote close racing
They cars have a ton of grip (Almost too much?)
Cons:
The cars seem to be very...cartoony.
The bonnet view seems to be too high. It feels like you are standing on the roof!
The cars roll over way too easy if you ride a curb.
It doesn't feel like you are driving a touring car....its almost like an Arcade game.
Ultimately it would have to be tested with a few people on. Maybe Corty can put up a server and we can all test?

Re: Next League for Sunday Night
another idea, historic touring car GTTC mod and run selected A0,A1,A2,A3 cars around bathurst. basically pick what you think you'll do well in rather than what you'll smash into a wall in. minis, cortinas, falcon spints, mustangs, gt40's, p4 ferrari's etc

Re: Next League for Sunday Night
Guys, I have an Historix server up which I need to do some testing on to find some car parity.
All cars are available but if you could only pick one of the following cars that would be good:
Alfa GTAm (70)
Ford Escort Mk1 (72)
Ford Capri 2.6RS (71)
BMW 2002 Tii (72)
BMW 2800CS (70)
Porsche 911 RS 2.8 (73)
Here is the mod:
http://historicgt.fr.yuku.com/topic/3491/Historic-GT-Touring-cars-mod-v196-has-been-released#.U4b1RmcriUk
You will need a GT Legends disc to install the mod.
