Porsche GT3 Round 7 - Barbagallo

Round 7 held at Barbagallo on 17th July (track available from the dropbox on left)



Qualifying at 7:40pm TTR time (10 mins)

Race start at 8:00pm TTR time 

Race length will be 1hr (this is subject to change depending on numbers)
Tyre wear set at x2
Fuel burn rate set at x3

To receive points you will need to complete 75% of race distance (45 minutes)

Is it just me or is the lag here really bad, jumped on last night for some practice and it was s#@thouse. Ping was low too.

Our server providers have admitted there has been some issues. Corty is looking into this for us...

Sorry about the Lag issue fellas, we are onto it and will make sure everything is good for next week and so on.

Great to see 10+ people turn up, hope we can manage that amount & more for the rest of the series   

Was great fun once we did finally get going: 

Found the pace again at this track and put it on pole.
The race starts are whats letting me down, I cant seem to get these cars off the line  

Race 1, got swamped off the line but managed to get the positions back and finished 1st.

Race 2, got really swamped this time, pole back to 6th or 7th, made a mistake at the bowl (ran wide onto grass).
Put my head down and got back to 3rd, managed to get on the back of stevo and made the move on the inside at the bowl.
Took me a while to get onto the the back of Jason as was worried about the tyres, burnt then out playing catch up.
That's when Jason and I had an epic battle to the finish, here is the video:

not bad, like stevo and myself most of the first race. very hard track to get a pass done.

I had a pretty lacklustre night, 55's for the most part, squeezed a 54.9 out of it but that was about a second per lap slower than the quick guys. Made a couple of mistakes, a spin through the big left hander and that put paid to me staying on the lead lap which was my goal last night. I was running a reasonable 6th with about 5 mins to go and let the lead battle, then Stevo and Chris through, then got booted. Bugger.

After I got booted I watched the race finish on liveracers, could see Corty/Jason, Stevo/AusChris were having ripper battles.

Thanks to Corty for making the effort to switch servers, much appreciated. It made a big difference.
