Touring Car Legends are back! (TCL Mid-Winter Tour)
The Touring Car Legends are back, along with two new cars.
Introducing the TWL Jaguar XJS and Nissan Skyline R32. Both cars are legendary in their own right.
Mod:
TCL 1.1 + New cars patch
League Start:
26th July 2015
League Format:
There will be two races per night over 7 Rounds. There will be 1 x 20 minute race followed by 1 x 40 minute race per night.
Some details may change for each round.
Tracks:
Bathurst (Enduro to kick it off!)
Hungary
Mt Fuji
Spa
Nurburgring
Laguna Seca
Hockenhiem 2014
Jarama
Practice Night:
The official practice night will be the 19th July
Teamspeak:
It would be appreciated if all drivers could at least be in listen mode on Teamspeak, for the safety of all.
Please refrain from talking or chatting in game during qualifying. This can distract the other drivers who are trying to set a lap time.
Patch for new cars:

G27, fixing to make some carbon bits for it soon too think I.
My old wheel was a very old thrustmaster, had to update win7 and there was no drivers available for it and was about the same time I started playing WOT.

Bugger about the drivers, but you will be happy with the G27 anyway
If you need any setting for the G27, don't hesitate to ask.

Re: Touring Car Legends are back! (TCL Mid-Winter Tour)
Tested a couple of cars now (at Bathurst), should be very interesting over all the cars depending how the race structure is set out.
I don't like the Nissan R32 much due to handling, maybe its the 4WD ? (Also because of the 1992 Bathurst ) but it is fast !! Darren W has a 2:15 flat, but it may be able to peak into the 2:14's ?
The VL TWR seems a little slow over a lap (may of needed more tuning ?), but it handles very well & managed a 2:16.9
BMW M3 EVO could be a dark horse ? Its a loose cannon, but if you can tune it out I think it could be right up there !
Managed a flat 2:16 in it.
Haven't driven the Sierra yet, but id say it will be right there with the R32 & M3 Evo somewhere.

Cheers Corty.
I was hoping to have 4 - 5 cars with a similar lap time. Even though it may not he historically correct, it does provide closer racing.

the 4wd gives alot of understeer but you can set it up to be tolerable corty. will be good to see how skyline goes during the races against rs500, m3 evos and commos

Got a 3d model?
I know of quite a few weirdos that would like an rx7 body, I happen to have a tt01 collecting dust on the shelf here, I have a nib E30 evo shell for it too.

Managed to get the Jag down to a 2:17 flat last night, but think it could sneak into the 16's on a perfect lap.

Re: Touring Car Legends are back! (TCL Mid-Winter Tour)
Does anyone else think the VL TWR could do with a little extra of something ?
My best in it so far is a 2:16.859
My times in:
Sierra = 2:14.389
R32 = 2:14.758 (A little more in it)
M3 EVO =2:16.026
Jag = 2:17.078 (A little more in it)
Its getting smashed by the Sierra, R32, M3 EVO & even the Jag can match the TWR's pace.
What do you guys think ?

Re: Touring Car Legends are back! (TCL Mid-Winter Tour)
the bombadore can stay at the back where it belongs
the track selections are really good, i think different tracks suit a few different cars.
Bathurst (Enduro to kick it off!) - sierra
Hungary - sierra / m3 evo
Mt Fuji - sierra / skyline
Spa - sierra
Nurburgring - if its the full track it'd be any car that stays off the walls
Laguna Seca - sierra / skyline
Hockenhiem 2014 - skyline
Jarama - skyline

The modern one should even out some of the cars anyway, we normally have good racing there.

Re: Touring Car Legends are back! (TCL Mid-Winter Tour)
Low in-game graphics settings and/or running the game in DX7 can make cars display like that, but I don't think that's ever been a problem with TCL. Might be worth a try anyway.

Re: Touring Car Legends are back! (TCL Mid-Winter Tour)
Couple of questions:
What layout of Fuji?
Any comments about car choice for a slow driver? I prefer lower powered, more nimble cars (so normally choose the opposite to Flattop ;-) ). In this mod I have only ever used the M3 and Volvo and Rover.

We will be using the Virtua LM version. I haven't decided on the layout as yet...

That one worked for me. You do have to log in. We could also look at the 2010 version in the TTR downloads, but I think there were issues with people getting DQ'ed when going to race.TTR-CortyGT wrote:Growler wrote:https://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Hockenheim%202014TTR-CortyGT wrote:Growler do you have a link for Hockenhiem 2014 ?
