Yeah, keen. I've missed tyre degradation!
We have already done LoB at Mt. Panorama...
I've got no complaints for doing it again, but are there any other tracks they'd be good at?

What night you thinking kaks ?
Both "Bathurst Legends 1972" & "Legends of Bathurst" are both designed to run 45min+ races & 2 or 3 times fuel & tyres.
This is to make all the cars even out over the course of the race.
So most tracks should work out pretty good.

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
How about this:
Tonight we have a fun night with the LofB mod as it is now...
This will refresh our memories on what's going on with the cars that are already there and any fixes we think they need.
After that I will get to work on the fixes and also adding the new cars in, then have another bash on Sunday ?

Yeah, sweet as. Just hope it isn't too short notice for everyone!
If we ran the last race with these are we up to date with the mod?

Yeah I wouldn't expect many with the short notice, but doesn't matter, at least will get a refresh on what needs to be done.
If you ran in the last race, then you should be fine.

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
Was great fun tonight guys, had an absolute blast !
Even though there was only 6 of us, it just goes to show that sometimes there doesn't need to be a huge grid to have fun.
Dave got of to a great start but made a little mistake allowing Stevo, Worm and myself past.
Once Dave was behind the HQ seemed to be quick in all the right places, so managed to keep him behind.
I think Stevo was in fuel saving mode which allowed Worm in the RX-3 & me in the HQ to catch up.
Not to long later Dave was also back hassling me.
Was great to see WORM get past Stevo on top of the mountain the Stevo blast back past on the straights.
Then I managed to sneak by worm also a few times.
About 6 laps in Worm spun in 2nd place, on the last corner with the 2 tanks behind committed to out line through the corner
Dave and I managed to hit him & I think I hit both of them
Stevo got home for the Win, with kaks 2nd & Dave 4th.
I ran out of fuel coming out of the chase
But managed to roll over the line.

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
Would be great to have more of these night very soon so we can keep ironing out the bugs.
We still have one when someone exits the server, others get booted.
I'm hoping ill have that sorted with the next update coming very soon.
I found a few files conflicting with each other from different cars about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I fixed those but wont know if it has fixed the "server exit bug" until we have another fun / test night (fingers crossed).
Once the bug is sorted, then we'll get the good stuff coming !
Ford Capri
RX-7
Escort Mk2
Toyota Celica
Chevrolet Camaro
Datsun 240K
Hopefully by early next year we can have a series with these, if there's no bugs !

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
only thing I wanna add is.. we wither don't use x2 fuel and tires.. or do longer races... because last nite I just cruised around doin 2.40's knowing that you all had to pit.. the only one who didn't pit to my surprise was stevo.. the torry at max fuel save would do 14 laps and from what stevo was saying the falcon easly do 13

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
A little mistake? I hit both fences!
HQ's got some legs though, oddly cornering in the big XB was my only hope of passing you
Short filled and jumped you in the pits, just. Was driving like hell to get away from you. The bit with Worm was a howler! I thought he'd cross back over the track so I was slowing and slowing, waiting for it to happen. Never did though, and I just parked in front of you hahah!
I came third, mate! Where's my trophy?!
I do enjoy these cars though, they're bloody good. They all make their speed in different places which makes the racing good, but they all require different strategies for fuel and that as well. And sitting there hustling the XB around Bathurst is just really cool
Would definitely look forward to a series, and another go in these in the meantime. Quietly looking forward to a Datsun 240K as well!

Yeah I think if we did the 20 lap race and still with 2x Fuel & Tyres, that would have made a big difference.
If the XY had to stop, it would have lost a few positions, as it takes longer to put the fuel in due to the size of its tank (163L).
As I said above, these were designed to run 2x Fuel & Tyres & 45min+ races.
If everyone had to pit, it would have evened everything out.

even if we did a 20 lap race the falcon and torry still only stop once and can be driven flat out where is the other cars would stop twice .. running x2 fuel and tires really doesn't even any car out.. its not like you can slap x2 on the torry while the others are normal.. x2 effects them all thus making no difference ... one thing that Does work is if you ran normal tire wear the torry doesn't need to change tires at a pitstop witch gives you an option to make up time by skipping tires witch works well on tracks where the falcon is so much faster

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
The other cars would also only have to stop once as well and would have a shorter fill time, so I believe the 20 laps would have made a difference.
The only car that would have stopped twice is the HQ, but I may look into that.
I've raced the Torana with 3x Tyres & Fuel in a series and didn't need to change tyres, races were about 20min long.
I think with normal Fuel & Tyres, the XW will "gain more" if anything as the 2x tyres effects the XW more then the other cars.
It has so much power going through the rear tyres (compared to the other cars), also the weight of it on the front end.
My understanding of the Bathurst Legends 1972 mod is the shorter the race, the higher the multipliers have to be.
Legends of Bathurst is set up the same and has to be like this because of the difference in each car.

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
I've set up a quick race server if anyone is interested.
Tracks are:
Amaroo
Mallala
Surfers 1984
Wakefield Park
QLD Raceway
Bathurst
Server is set to:
10min Practice
5min Qually
5min Warmup
7min Race
Would be good to try out a few different tracks and see what cars are strong where.

Re: fun run in either DRM, Bl or TCL
Well there was only 3 that turned up including myself, but was still fun to drive on a couple of different tracks.
I thought I would give the mini ago against Kev in the XB & Stevo in the XY.
Was quite surprised it could keep up around Amaroo & the lead actually changed a few times.
Mallala just had a little to much straight for the mini, so the fords were able to sneak away a little, but any mistakes made by them, I was right back up with them.
I did give a few of the other cars a run at Amaroo and the smaller cars definitely do well there.
I think these car will do great in a series and will be a mixed bag of cars that do well at each track.
Hopefully very soon, ill have a series up and running with these

Yeah, lots of fun Corty.
So far I seem to do very similar times in the Falcon(s), RX7 and the Camaro, although all very different to drive.
Looking forward to a series with all different makes being able to take the win.
