TCL 2016 - Starts 18th September

18th September

League Format
The league will spread over 8 weeks. There will be 1 x 15 minute Sprint followed by a 40 minute Race per night however this may change from round to round. We will qualify for Race 1. Race two will be made up from the finish places of race 2, however the top 6 will be reversed.
Qualifying will start at 7.30pm TTR time with the first race starting around 7.45pm.

Hidden Valley
Hampton Downs
Bathurst (Enduro)

Points
1st place will be 200 points, 2nd will be 190 points, 3rd will be 180 points etc.
Points are awarded to those who compete in 50% of the race.
There will also be a bonus 5 points to whoever gets pole position for race 1 for each round.
There will also be a 2 point bonus for every driver who starts the race

Weights
Weights will be added after round 1. Weights will be added/subtracted after each round (Not per race).
Here is the weights penalties format:

1st. +75kg
2nd. +50kg
3rd.  +30kg
4th.  +0
5th.  -30kg
6th.  -50kg
7th.  -75kg
8th.  -100kg
Max weight: 200kg

Bonus.
At the start of the league each driver will receive a "joker" card that takes 50kgs off their total weight for a round. This can only be used once during the league, but can be used for any round.
If you intend to use it for a particular round, notification needs to be given three days before the event start.

What version of Taupo you using ?

I'd prefer to start a week later.   Or let us swap cars for the first few weeks.

Have only ever driven the M3 and Volvo.   Assume that the Sierra and Skyline and V8s are quicker but may take a night or two practising for someone like me to be able to keep them on the track.

I can move the start date back a week if people want.

Might be a good idea due to the short notice   LOL
It also takes a little time to choose a car that one likes.

How about have a fun, test, tune night at a random international track ?
Maybe a few short races at Interlagos, Monza or Zolder ? 
or some odd ball track good for testing.... Winton, Queensland Raceway, AirLong or something...

Or we just jump straight into it !!

TCL.. unexpected... at least i won't have to ask people for setups.. should already have one.. looking forward to giving it a crack though.. can never race week nights and after recently buying rf2, realise my system won't run it, i'll be happy to put in some average times in a fairly raced mod around a few familiar circuits. provided i don't get sunday work, i shall be there
