GT3's POSTPONED FOR 1 WEEK

I'll postpone round 5 for a week so we can have a go at the Clio's on rFactor 2
Start time will be normal and we will have a few quick-fire races for evaluation.
As I understand it you need to subscribe to the rFactor2 workshop on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/app/365960/workshop/
By doing this it allows you to join the TTR server and download any content automatically.
It would be good to get as many people on to test everything so those guys that have moved to play rF2 elsewhere (ChrisRX!), please jump on.
Tracks I may look at Mid Ohio, Lime Rock Park and a couple of others...

Corty...if you get a chance can you flick the track over to non-chicane please?

Firstly thanks to the 3 - 4 guys that did turn up.
This would have been a great opportunity to get a few people on to see if moving to rFactor 2 was the answer.
Unfortunately I'm finding it more difficult to be enthusiastic organising leagues where only a select few turn up each week. Its for this reason I will complete the GT3 league, then step down from organising for a while.
I don't know what more can be done to get more people racing here. I know there is too much choice now with Assetto Corsa, IRacing, Project Cars etc, but we should be able to get more than what we are currently getting. The differing time zones don’t help either.
Unfortunately I don’t know the answer. It really comes down to the individual to offer feedback occasionally and to attend as many races as possible (Its only once a week!).
If you have any thoughts on this then post them up.

what about linking the facebook page to this site, or vice versa, cause the only way i can think of bringing more people in is to advertise, i cant find the TTR page on facebook, or maybe create a group or twitter account, its all about advertising, if that doesnt work maybe look at changing the race time, or day,

just my ideas

I think the best bet is to pick a popular rf2 mod and try run a series. Might draw in some more people but I'm really not sure. It's a shame that the numbers are low, I miss a few rounds here and there but always enjoy the racing.

I don't think the night and time is a problem, but yeah I do think more time needs to be put into advertising.
Would be nice to have someone dedicated to promoting the club and also has some sort of knowledge about websites / forums.
All the handy guys with the knowledge have disappeared over the years.
This club used to run Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday nights (all by different people) very successfully back around 2012 / 2013, but Sundays always had the biggest turnouts.

We really need more people to put their hand up and help out and also make it some sort of priority to turn up on race nights.
I know I've sacrificed a lot of Sunday night events (mainly family events) to keep on showing up over the years.
Sunday night racing is number 1 priority for me and I've made my family & friends understand that !
Ha... I even have a portable setup (Laptop & a cheap wheel) for when I go away ! LOL
I'm normally hopeless with my portable setup, but I do it so I'm in the server on race night.

At the end of the day, numbers attract more numbers !
And more numbers mean more potential donors to keep the club running.
Some of the guys here have put in more then their fair share of donations and is the only reason this club is still going today !

This club is pretty much at rock bottom right now and if things don't change soon it will have to come to an end unfortunately
