Shortcut to our TTR Practice server
Well this is a simple way to get on our practice server.
1st thing to do is right click on your current rFactor shortcut then properties then find target then right click on it and send to desktop create shortcut, rename it TRR or something, then right click it go to properties then in the target box leave the current info and paste the following you must leave a space between the current info and the new info
+connect 8.17.252.2101:34297 +password "xxxxxx"
click apply and ok. Click on your new shortcut and it will connect directly to the TRR server just click load track when it appears. It doesnt go searching for servers it just connects to the server stipulated in the target line. There are easier ways to create a new shortcut but i thought i would try to cover all the steps needed.
Look forward to your feedback guys.
Hope this is useful to you guys.
NOTE: As we will switch mods from practice server to race server at times what i suggest you do is make another copy of your rfactor desktop shortcut and name 1 race & 1 practice and change the target line accordingly for the appropriate server otherwise you may be wondering why it is loading the wrong mod or server when it changes from 1 server to the other.
another thing to add is fullproc if you are running dual core processor. So my target line is this in full,
"C:\Program Files\v8 1.3\rFactor.exe" +fullproc" +connect 8.17.252.210:34297 +password "xxxxxx"
Hope this helps guys.
