So straight onto round 2 at Symmons Plains, and just like 1988, its a week later

Round 2 Symmons Plains Symmonsplainsmap

The track once again suits horsepower, but is hard on brakes and gives the right front tyre a hard time

Here is how the top 5 looked after qualifying for the real 1988 ATCC round 2 at Symmons
Round 2 Symmons Plains 88grid

Looking forward to another close race between everyone, how fast is everyone going? Smile

The actual 1988 race isn't on Youtube, however the corresponding Symmons Plains round from 1990 is, so enjoy it (a classic Brock vs Johnson battle)

kris keep in mind they were winding well north of 550 bhp out of the RS500 by that stage.

Even with 4 hundred whatever HP it has in rfactor, the sierra will be the car to beat at most tracks, in qualy anyway.

I'm just chockers with work/study stuff this week, so literally will not be turning a lap at symmons plains before sunday afternoon. Hope that's enough incentive to get certain competitors to put some solid laps in?? Twisted Evil

I got on tonight and had some good laps going around with BillyBob. Kept him behind me for a while, until i spun off. lols.

I managed to get a 0:55.858 on Hard tyres with low fuel.

Setup is pretty dodgy. Lots of work to do before sunday, dunno if ill get much chance until the weekend.

Managed a 55.1 offline Smile Sad thing is - I'm not going to make it Sad I'm moving house over the next 3 weekends Sad That means my big pc, desk and steering wheel are the first to go. Round 4 might be possible if I'm lucky.

Have a good one chaps. This basically takes me out of the running all together since I didn't have much of a championship chance anyway. I will still race when I get setup again tho Very Happy See you soon!

Hi Devil,

The mod and track is on the download page

From there choose a car from either the ATCC88 or Bathurst88 folder, and register on SLS (the car numbers on SLS will show which one's are taken so far), plenty of BMWs and Commodore's to choose from, and a few Sierra's and Skylines left too

Wally will be able to add more info i've forgotten Smile

Look forward to seeing on the track devil Smile

I've rattled off a few low 54s so far.... the biggest challenge is keeping the right front tyre on the car without sacrificing too much speed....

Hi everyone. Once again tonight the server will be rebooted at 7pm to ensure we get the best outa everything we can.
Password is ttrfun.
Sometime today I will be deciding whether to swap to the other 635 or not as I didn't get any points in round 1.

Welcome back to devilracer69, who has provided us with some excellant duels and entertainment in the past.
Richard don't panic too much about your boy... Unless she has some really good grounds for attempting this, you are the father and she hasen't got the right to prevent a father from seeing his child alltogether. Back to the racing, don't forget to get yourself registered on SLS for the series or you won't show up in the results.

Webber, if your not doing anything today ... do you want to meet up somewhere and go to lakeside for a while?
only 10 bucks today to get in.

Here's an interesting fact for this season.

Dick Johnson Racing won every race this season with either Dick or John Bowe winning every race except one throughout the normal series.

Good Ol Lakeside provided the odd one out win of Tony Longhurst.

Hey Wal. Awesome offer thanks mate - but I've got father's day lunch with the whole family so no go. Some day though we should get all the QLDers including JD together (go karting?!??) pick a day when there are good deals brisbane-NZ so we can show the kiwis a thing or two Twisted Evil

Have done no practice yet, will be jumping on to turn some laps at 6 pm or so. Really looking forward to some good battles with you devilracer, hope everything works out with mini devil.

I won't be competing tonight guys. I'm too busy doing other things.

Sorry.

I'll def be in the next round. Probably won't run the sierra tho. Will probably switch to a M3 like I ran at XGN when I put it smack bang in the middle of the bigger cars at Adelaide.

I reckon keep running the M3 Wal, its quicker than the 635, and you'll be more than in the hunt at Winton, Lakeside & Amaroo Smile
