Re: after 88 atcc
hey wall im happy with anything other than open wheelers personally, as long as the physics are good, although i do have a preference towards tin tops and possibly a one make production class would be fun?.....shayn, i know u sometimes worry bout being off the pace laptime wise sometimes...and open wheelers as a general rule are without a doubt the worst cars for most people to be competitive in, need a huge amount of setup time and knowledge and can only be driven really well by a few aliens who are super quick in em and just depress the rest of us IMHO

Re: after 88 atcc
PCC works for me, as does BL72 or what about HTC65 with ATCC tracks from the '60s or BTCC '88 or '89 using TCL?

Re: after 88 atcc
Forget I mentioned open wheelers then. LOL.
I'd love to run the porsches, as I wasnt around for the last series.
But I'm happy to race watever, as long as there is a competitive sunday series.
Happy to see plans for the future.

Re: after 88 atcc
A series with loads of different cars would be ideal. Like TCL. Different cars have different strengths.
I've heard good things about the HistorX mod...

Re: after 88 atcc
I'm a TCL fan, but honestly i'll race anything with you guys, particularly Sunday's
TCL wise, ideas could be an 1986 ETCC (Rover/Volvo/Commodore/635/Mustang are all fairly equal) or 88/89 BTCC or DTM?
Here's another idea, how about using the "Super Touring" mod
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=British%20Super%20Touring%20Cars%201998
Has all the cars from the BTCC 1993-2000, and cars from the German STW series 1998-1999, a good series could be made of that.

Re: after 88 atcc
the problem with the "World Touring Masters" mod is that its illegal.
that mod originates from the racedepartment.com forums, and the original TCL creators only gave some members there the permission to tinker with it for their private league, with no permission granted to release it to others (hence the password needed when you download it....)
Some people however decided to free it to the public though, totally going against what the original TCL creators allowed (RS_Owner made this point on nogrip.com forums a while back)
And apart from that, the mod totally spoils what Group A was all about...

Re: after 88 atcc
I watched the TCL build for years on there forums before it was released and saw the hard work time they put into it. As racer stated above this was released without permission and Wally I discussed originally that we wouldn't run it in our in respect to the original developers
It was a good suggestion shano for something different only thing with how the mod came to be released is the sicking point for me

I like the sound of the HistorX mod... Be good to change it up, not that i think TCL is getting boring (Far from it) , but always good to change it up!! Im a massive fan of old GT/Touring Cars... Mixed cars always adds that extra little element to the championship so i'd vote for that

I'd like to throw in the suggestion of the nagt mod... Has a good variety of cars.... And, just for shayne, there's an r34 gtr! Lol. I like the mod. Others might not.... Sorry for being late to the party too!
