Hey tyres to be used?


Because the controls are slot more gripy and they last way longer then the sprints it's opposite to the last mod!

Good Question Moo being brand new mod we are developing this series on the run. I have been flat out agian this week and not tested as yet. Can Anyone give me idea of sprint tyre life over 15 mins if they make the distance and if so the lap times at the start compared to the end. And same for Controls over the 15 min Period.



This is a big Maybe but if we look at people nominating there tyre choice at the start of the night and they run them for the whole night. but I would need to compile lap times to work out if this would work or not



For this to work I would make sure the fuel was capable of making the 30mins without a stop

um well yersterday i did a race at oran park (50 laps) and that took 1 hr to complete the sprint tyres lasted about 22 laps and the ccontrol can handle up to 60 laps

Sprints wear pretty quick.. and the control handle a lot better than the previous version.... testing now.... might try a full 15 min stint

18 mins is all i can get out of the set of sprints on what ever x wear the grand vally server is on
my lap times were similar to each other for the first 14 mins 7 laps
so
2x 15 min races no pitting and 1x 30 min with cps on sprints??

or 2x 30min races run sprints and pit in both races or try your luck with controlls with bigger tank and slower lap times for the whole race

or 1 hour on this track would be most people pitting for repairs i think lol, and run what tyres you like

just my 3 cents worth

im stuggling with the new track and mod, so on a good day i might get 10laps from the sprint tyres=20mins

Maybe we go non points round and test the sprints v controls like you said 2 x 30 mins

We noticed during testing that if you change tyres, you can see which tyres you have on (Dunlop white = Sprints) (Dunlop yellow = Controls) but when someone else views your tyres the appear yellow all the time.... shame... was hoping for a fix so we could see what tyres people where on.....

kiwi is faster than me on this track so for testing tyres i volunteer him for controlls for race one and me on sprints,

14 laps 28 mins on controlls 2 to 3 seconds a lap slower, then i crashed
but if you took it a bit easyer you can do 30 min race on them

I might be practicing tomorrow night if anyone wants to still practice!

its a toss up between controlls full stint and sprints needing a pit stop over 2 30 min races for the night very close time differnce even adding 40 seconds for a stop

Tyres are open controls or sprints.

There is about 2.5 seconds a lap difference between the two types and the sprints will need to be changed to make the distance where the controls will make the race without a stop.

Test pit lane with a stop it is close to 38 - 42 seconds

Estimated 15 laps at 2.5 seconds quicker makes a gain of around 37 seconds which should make it really interesting

Had a test race with one of us on sprints one on controls with the sprint car having to stop for tyres we crossed the line 0 .354 gap in the end. Looking forward to tomorrow night

i realy think tyres should be up to what you think you need for the night on this mod, for this series
if you choose the wrong type its your problem
in this case the track pit lane suits a stop while running sprints but a track with a lower speed limit or longer pit lane maynot
this track also suited like benny said running a full race on enduros, he bet me by 5/8th of f all lol

if all choose the same tyre the track must suit that tyre better

if you choose to run a sprint to take off on a mad stint then pit for the enduro tyre to finish because you think two sets of sprint wont last but you have good lap speed

or look after the enduros and run the full 30 mins

or look after the sprints and run to sets

i think it should be up to the drivers to test the track and run what they want
so no policeing from admins is needed, and would make the series realy interesting to see what people come up with, being 2x 30 mins if your 1st race dosnt work out there is the 2nd race to change tacticks
you might even change what tyres your running due to where you qualify
