Post Race Sandown

I dont know why but i had this idea in my head that it was only one race tonight.

I exited after the race, to make sure the replay had saved.

Try to get back in, "CURRENT SESSION CLOSED".

rly, lol thanks guys, im just dumb. i dunno what i was thinking.

it didnt even occur to me that there was another race.

when it said session closed, i thought, "oh, they must be doing a 10 min race or something".

Pb for qualy 1:06.8 for 2nd on the grid.

Race 1 - Got a perfect start and was side by side with slykiwi. Couldn't get passed and held 2nd throughout the race. Had a good battle with RR1CHO the whole race until not sure what happened to him but lost 10 seconds in the 2nd stops. Had a screen freeze final stint got Dizzo right on me. Held 2nd place from him

Race 2 - Stayed in 2nd until Sly had a screen freeze or something and dropped back the order. Held the lead from Dizzo while him and Webber were fighting. Eventually he got passed and tried to get a good run on him final corner but understeered badly! All the leaders pitted at the same time. Got a good jump out of the box and think Dizzo stalled the car and lost around 10 seconds in the stops. Eventually final 5 laps me and Diz having a fight for the lead. Final lap Turn 1 he gets passed got a good run coming out onto the back straight but clipped the grass slightly and lost the run on him. Finished 0.4 behind in 2nd!

My night?....... didn't qualify well... had a late comer wanting to join (sorry for the chat during the session)

Race one went from 9th to 22nd in an incident.... then had some awesome battles while gaining a few more places.

Race 2

22 starters but only 12 finishers

Was an awesome nights racing from comments made (by all us on Team Speak anyway)

I had a bit of an advantage i guess because i did an enduro at sandown the night before, have always gone well here. Good battle off the line race 1 with Minikob3.

Race 2 didnt go so well but prob had more fun anywayz. Had a early screen freeze which cost me about 8 sec and dropped a heap of places. Battled on and got back up with leaders by first stop, we all stopped together unfortunately and with webber close behind i got a nudge over the pit entry line and copped a drivethru with it lol. Just unfortunate and very curteous of webber to wait for me even though i wouldve prefered he soldiered on. Webber tucked in behind and we set about trying to make up time, was too much tho but was a very enjoyable race

was a good nights racing,
i found the track was hard work, i couldnt seem to get a setup i was happy with
but i stayed up the top 6 so i was very pleased
race one i lost my rhythm ,milo got a bit loose lap 1 T1 then T2 i just touched him and he spun off, i felt really stink but i kept going as i thought his setup must have been realy loose in the rear?? but stall realy sorry for the tap mate

race 2 i had some good laps with Danny3L , chur bro
and made me very excite (alli g style) to finish in the pointy end again

I admit I rocked up here hoping to do well with no practice. The awesome awesome pace of Slykiwi and many others put paid to that. That he had a penalty in race 2 (which I'm sorry to say I caused) and still managed to come 3rd shows just how much quicker than everyone else he was here.

In both races I looped it coming out of T1 and hit the wall in the exact same spot :/

In race 1 the top 3 just motored away and it was enough to just keep within 10 secs.

Slykiwi kindly sent through his setup for race 2. It was brilliant - the setup drove just like my normal one in terms of pointy front and smooth power oversteer, but it was a full 0.5 secs faster in race trim. Awesome stuff, I usually just use the same base setup everywhere so Slykiwi's is now it.

Fantastic to see some drivers gaining epic pace - Kris and Shaynskyline especially, have both gained mega pace since I last raced with them. M1N1 has always been quick and he drove well to take the round win.

All good Kris bro, i had wobbly on the outside of me going into turn 2, so braked a bit early cause i knew i was going to have to ride the inside curb, so i wouldnt end up on wobblys bonnet. thats racing anyway Kris, its gunna happen in a field that big.

Had pretty much my best Qually session of the year, in a stacked field like it was is was wraped with a new PB and grid 6, from there it went down hill.

Sorry to Shayn for holding him up in the pits when i had to do my 10sec penalty in our team pit box

Had a intense battle with Moo in the second race, rubbed abit of pepsi on his car. very enjoyable.

hellava meeting top pace from everyone......full grids wow, i have never battled so hard to finish in the top ten

didnt really gell here personally and couldnt quite match the front runners by a few tenths and that was enough to be out of it in the enduros, had my usual crap stops but had some great dices and overall quite happy with my results considering i had a stop go and no practice b4 the meeting

great to see some new and very fast faces
