Bathurst legends 72 in 11, pre Winton

due to xmas coming up really fast, i propose we put a hold on our upcoming series until around mid january.
ie. TCL on tour/ Historic GT-Touring and 1985 ETCC.

Let's have a muck around fun events with 1972 Bathurst Legends at various tracks until then.

Sunday 11th, qualifying @ 1830 hours (qld), 1930 hours(nsw.vic)
Bathurst legends 1972
@ Winton Club circuit.

likewise for race 2 including top % of results from race one .. reverse grid

oh i am getting old, these cars are almost 40.

also 100 years next year on sinking of titanic.... at least I wasn't there lol

i have installed v1.3 but keep getting vehicle mismatch?

I think I have the same problem when I try to install this mod.

The cars never show up, just the temp models and always errors when loading tracks.

Anyone know how to make it work?

i think 1.3 is wrong mod guys.... there is 2 dif mods out

so where do we get the right one? i have 1.3

try reinstalling, unzip to folder on desktop and copy over


if youse cant get on then we'll have to do something with tcl again over a few weeks.

maybe one make in the turbo escorts or something like that.

I'll have a look at the downloads page and try it out I'll get back to you with what the problem is today it might be as little as an old version on the server Or a in correct link in the downloads page

I just checked with my version no issues getting in. I'm downloading off the downloads page at the moment and trying it on another install.

Not sure if it the problem but are you guys going to the TTR Server for bathurst 72 as the saturday is also setup with winton Club for All vehicles as we are testing V8 v NZV8's. if you were going to this one it wouldn't work as the cars aren't enable on it

Ok I have download the version from the download page which is http://ausfactor.com/download/mod/BathurstLegends1972_v1.3_Full.rar I have installed in a new rfactor and got straight for those not getting it to work download from the above link and then make sure it is the Bathurst 72 server. If this still doesn't work create a new rfactor install using rfactor lite available here http://www.rfactorcentral.com/rfactor_lite.cfm and then install bathurst 72 into that rfactor and see how you go. Please let me know if the problem continues I'll be happy to help

It is worth persisting the mod is great fun

Sweet ill have another go with the suggestions provided.

Cant wait to smash the torana around a few courses.

I dowloaded from the ttr link... then deleted all existing mod files from rfactor (rfm, movie, talent,mod data.. everything) then paste files from ttr link then presto! im in.

Mine is working ok now. Extracted it to a separate folder then chucked it in one of my rfLite installs. No time to drive now. Ill have a run later on.

Tossing up btw the Ford or the XU1. Hmmm

The Ford has heaps more grunt than the others, but the worst brakes and handling.

Great race yesterday had a great battle with Corty until he had a flat front left and then half a lap later the same tyre on my car went flat. All the different types of cars had similar lap times so it should be a good race.

hey, i think maybe put the tyre wear on x2.

the tyres are gone after about 6 laps.

2 pit stops in a short race seems a little weird.

everyone did it in one on thursday but i will change it for race day

Lets see how it pans out for everyone in the race before we change tyre wear. I have found that you can run 10 or 12 laps doing 1:11's but 1:10 and 1:09 will fry them in 4 laps, so good clean driving would see you slow at the start but in good shape in the last stages.

Back in the early 70s it wasn't uncommon for tyre stops in short races due to excessive wear, especially in the Falcon's.

'Pete' Geoghegan once made 3 tyre stops in a 30 lap race at Warwick Farm in his GTHO, though his driving style was quite unique

ok good for x3 tires wear, 72 tyres were very bad, it will more real; and more fun, 3 stops for "prudents" drivers 1 stop for "suicidal tendencies"
