24 laps or 50 minutes?
Pre Zolder discussions
NB. Real Zolder times were around 2m08(i assume it might of been raining as in early testing on default stup i have done a 1m48.6)
This means that the real race lasted 24 laps with a time of 51 minutes.
would you guys rather do 24 laps or 50 minute race?
Also poster says it is 2x25 minute races, this was an early choice but has been over-run to keep the series closer to real life so race will be 24 laps or 50 minutes depending on what you'se decide
Poll attached, 3 day limit on pool

Re: Pre Zolder discussions
This track destroyed tyres in nz cars and they are normally pretty good for tyre wear. The BMW I'd assume are going to be extremely strong at this round but with a couple of straights for the Volvo and mustang to stretch there legs.
This track is very easy to gain time in chicanes so be carefully with your lines. We had to penalize drivers in the nz racer for cutting most aware how much they were crossing.

Is that a "You have been warned, now you will be penalised", Benny?
Regardless of Webbers lines, he should be penalised.

Re: Pre Zolder discussions
yep that what it means
any car with weight penalties finishes 6th or lower loses his current penalty
just an attempt to even the series out a bit..
ps. if your a weighted driver and want to prac with your weight on.. if you find admin practising you can ask to have it added

The big Beemer is all at sea around the tight, twisty confines of Zolder. I feel for Wally!

Weight is a fantastic idea Wally, hopefully it causes a few new faces on the top step!

Re: Pre Zolder discussions
Due to circumstances I have to pick Shaz up from her work tommorrow night.
Therefore tonight we will do an official test/tune/prac race
prac - 7.30 nsw/vic
qual - 8pm
warmup and half distance race
all those with weight ballast from round one will be an excellant chance to practise with your weight on.

Re: Pre Zolder discussions
Same here, my game crashes to desktop when ever Mozza leaves the track.
Not picking on him, but its only happened with him leaving, to me so far.
There seems to be a solution here:

If someone can make sense of the last couple replies regarding the .veh files.
I'll message T-man with this, see if he can shed any light.

Re: Pre Zolder discussions
Might be easier if we get mozz to pick something else. He didn't compete in round 1. Maybe a volvo if he wants a challenge.
Or the Mustang does have 2 liveries and I am happy for him to use the other. also plenty of m3's or his old favourite.
I am not for fiddling around with car veh files or tracks for that matter to keep it nice and easy.

I agree with with this.
Once you start messing round with things like that it will lead to mismatches etc.. if not everyone has edited certain things and so on.

Re: Pre Zolder discussions
Yeh it's ok. I'll run something else. Not really fussed, was only running it for a challenge, see how far up the grid I could get the unloved old bus.
Now to get motivated to do another setup. Gah!

What are the rules on use of the kerbs. Is it having at least 2 wheels on the road?
