Pre Wanneroo/Barbagallo - Round 4

This weekend it is off to Round 4 of the TCL ATCC support series at Barbagallo (or as i still call it, Wanneroo)

Been quite a good series so far with a few different winners, and Shano handily leading the championship

The hot times here at our last event, the ATCC 1988 round, were in the 59sec range in race trim. In qualifying Dan GTSX did a mid-58 in his Sierra to claim pole.

ps...in the Sports Sedan support race for this event, Brian Smith in the Alfetta (Ricciardello's current car replaced this car in the mid-90s) has its whole front section blow off the car approaching the final turn, creating the amazing sight of it running around with the engine and other internals in full view, and going on to win the race... much to Neil Crompton's amusement in the commentary

cant wait for this race... love the track and think it will provide sum interesting battles....just waiting for car to come back from last round shes a lil dinged up lol....

found a site the other day, aussies-online.com, has complete bathurst dvds from 70's, 80's and so on for $25. also has sandown and complete atcc from 83 and 84

Going by previous rounds I Guess the night would be 3 x 17 lap races but leave that to the guys to confirm

I have the 4 VHS which had some Armstrong 500 all the way through to 90 ish but they are all only about 25 mins per race

I think I have around 250 individual touring car meets (Bathurts, Atcc rounds, AMSCAR rounds, Sandowns/other enduros, Agp supports etc), its getting a bit out of hand. I don't think its on Racer's level though.

Had a bit of look on liveracers Nice lap from mozza in the merc could be a interesting race if dans race pace was mid 59's

some close racing last nite... this gonna be bumper to bumper event big time

I'm going away for the weekend but hopefully I'll be back in time.... Either way, my merc ain't got nothin for the Sierra boys....

I would love to run on Sunday I had great consistency last night running consistent laps in race trim. Problem is Really struggled first lap on cold tyres in boh races and made a mess of it. Without this I think I could have hung around the battle at the front. Race 2 made some change for the worse and pace dropped enough to not get near the front guys.

But with Tonights Bathurst 2 Hour Enduro and Tomorrows V8 Round I think with the blood pressure I'm probably running after this week the blood lost might be a bit high when my balls get cut off by the wife

I did a few laps last friday shane I just picked a GT2 car very drivable and will just make sure I finish I'm sure I'll make up plenty of spot from people that don't finish

I'm still about 2 hours from home, hoping to get in before the show begins.
How's the server looking, what kinda times are being set?
